Dr. Moira Ariano's Online Review Report Card

Dr. Moira Ariano is by far the most detailed, straightforward, BEST dermatologist I have ever experienced. I moved to TN 5 yrs ago but was a patient of hers for nearly 15 yrs. I am prone to AK’s with my light skin and every year I visited her and she’d freeze off at least 10 things on my body (yes, from my days in the sun as a teen). I am not one for cosmetic injections, lifts, etc., I just want to age gracefully, and not get skin cancer. Every other year, I get Blue Light treatment on my face, which has proven to do wonders for my complexion (smoother, no freckles, tighter skin.) She is so thorough and communicates straight up, which is what you want when you are prone to skin cancer. My father died of skin cancer (melanoma) so I’m on top of my appointments every year. I am actually thinking of traveling 9 hours to see her again this year, that is how much I love this doctor! I have not found a dermatologist in my area that is as thorough as her. She actually cares about you as a patient! The reason I wrote this review is because I was looking up her phone number to call and make an appointment and I could not believe she doesn’t have thousands of reviews on her website. I think those of us who have skin conditions are scared, and get discouraged and ultimately, are thinking inward instead of outward. I want you to know that you can trust Dr. Moira Ariano. I have seen Dr. Ariano for many years with good results. However, she has sold her business to Pinnacle Skin. This is a disaster and a sham of a company. I saw her for 10 minutes and was charged over $700! About 4x what I have been charged in the past. She removed a few spots (which she always does) with a freeze spray, and that's it. My bill says: "Destruction BENIGN lesions", cost: $363! The visit was $394. She wasn't in the room enough time to even do a thorough exam! I am so disgusted with her and this company. I tried calling to discuss this outrageous charges only to hear two loops, one saying that may wait time is "4 minutes" the other saying I can have them call me back so I do not loose my "place in line". After 35 minutes of waiting, I figured I would try for the call back. But am still waiting - over an hour. This company is a greedy sham and I will make sure all my health care peers, friends and neighbors know to avoid this place. Absolutely disgusting how they rip off their patients. Disappointed that Dr. Ariano allowed this company to take over her patients also.

This is the place to go to if you want to be treated poorly. The staff lacks empathy, listening skills, and proper etiquette. When I walked in one of the receptionists appeared short tempted towards an elderly woman that had misplaced products she had just purchased. Little did I know I would be the next victim of their poor customer service, dishonesty, unprofessionalism and short temper.Walked in on Thursday 2/24/22 around 2:50pm, they advertise that they accept same day walk in's at ALL locations. One of the front desk receptionists said their location does not take walk in's. Not sure why they would advertise that when you call if it's not true. I was able to speak to a nurse with dark brown hair, she told me that the doctor could see me but not until 4. I told her I didn't mind waiting but instead of listening to me, she basically decided for me by saying, "no you wouldn't want to wait that long" and insisted, even after I repeated myself a second time that I wouldn't mind waiting if that's the only way I could get a simple prescription change. Next the receptionist ladies were rude, they didn't listen to my situation, instead of taking a moment to listen to understand what my situation was they would interrupt me and talk over me while I was speaking. An African American front desk receptionist handled the situation poorly she took the situation to level that was unnecessary, instead of having empathy she lost her temper and called the cops because I refused to leave when all I wanted was to take a minute after the Dr. was done with the current patient, to ask if she could change a prescription she had given me. The front desk also refused to give me test results from a biopsy that I had at this same location for my first appointment. The entire staff seems very dishonest and unprofessional they say one thing one moment and change it to something else the next and I could be talking to one receptionist and the other one will rudely interrupt. Pinnacle Dermatology give me a call.

Dr Ariano is such a fantastic dermatologist.. she really gives you such excellent care on every level .. from explaining to visuals..to her most kind caring heart! Dr. Ariano is the best in here field. She'll make you laugh and she tells you what's what In words you can understand.

Never been here before and they are spamming my parents mailbox with envelopes addressed to me. How are you getting my name and parents address? I haven't lived there in years. Not cool!

It was my first appointment and I went to reception to check in. First she could not find me, then she said "didn't somebody call you - Dawn is sick today?" If I was a no call no show I would be required to pay for the appointment. They did not have enough respect for me to let me know not to come in. Best part the next appointment is not for another month.

Dr Ariano has been my doctor for a little over a year. I found her after recently moving to Chicago. She is so knowledgeable and takes time with me as her patient. She always helps me with all my skin questions/concerns whether they are medical or cosmetic. FIVE STAR DOCTOR!

I have been a patient of Dr Ariano's for a lot of years- it hardly seems possible but I'm guessing over 23 years now! I have a lot of friends a coworkers ask me about my skin, and for any skin related medical issue, Botox, Dysport, and products I always refer them to her. I have also had laser procedures and body checks for unusual freckles/sun damage and skin cancer. All of my family sees Dr Ariano and we all appreciate her no nonsense approach and how she can clearly explain treatments and make useful and logical suggestions. There are many reasons I keep coming back to her practice, but the most important reason I feel so good about Dr Ariano taking care of me and my family is because she will do just that- if I come in with a question about a freckle or specifically for a cosmetic procedure, she will ask me about anything she notices that is out of the ordinary- I believe Dr Ariano truly cares about everyone who makes an appointment to see her and she goes above and beyond my expectations every time.

I have been a patient of Dr. Ariano for nearly twenty-five years I find Moira incredibly professional and reliable. Dr. Ariano practices “old fashion” medicine with all of the latest bells and whistles available to her practice. I especially like the fact Dr. Ariano is straight forward and unassuming. Over the many years we have talked about her continued education that keeps her in tuned with modern medicine. Everyone I have referred to Dr. Ariano has commented on how happy they are to have Moira in their lives.
