The inpatient facility for detox from alcohol and other substances is the first step to recovery. The staff was understanding and accommodating. The first few days are made much easier with their care and support. Afterwards, the transfer to an outpatient program on Mill St. for a PHP(Partial Hospitalization Program) and an IOP(Intensive Outpatient Program) is necessary to continue recovery. You'll be met with an amazing staff who will provide extremely helpful skills and techniques to help overcome addiction and assist with mental health issues. Great positive and effective energy here. Doctors, Nurses, Therapists and all Staff were friendly and professional.

I went through PHP/IOP at Linden oaks and it was one of the best experiences of my life. I was in the Adolescent Dual program for substance abuse and mental health. I tried to make to most of my time there, since I had never been through PHP/IOP. I had a wonderful time and Kris and Linda were very sweet and always advocated for me and every other patient. I would recommend this facility to anyone and everyone looking for help.

I attended the Adult PHP/IOP dual program here at Linden Oaks. SO INFORMATIVE!! I will never be able to thank this care team enough. I was struggling with ADHD, anxiety, depression, and alcohol abuse. If you are truly willing to let them help you & practice the skills they have taught me, you are set up for success. I’m now sober, successful, happy, and look forward to attending some of the “Smart Recovery” meetings they have. Filled with great people. Amazing experience. 10/10

Don’t read terrible reviews before you come to this place. This place is absolutely wonderful. I couldn’t have asked for a better facility to be a patient at during a time of desperate need for help. PHP/IOP program is very informative, giving you lots of tools and techniques to improve your mental health. I loved the staff there, especially Abbey, Dan, Derrick, Karen, Maurice, Vanessa and Zach! I will say the reviews about Kaitlyn are true. She does not care about her job, it is VERY clear. Not engaging during skills group. Aloof at her job. My intake assessment was done by her. She was rolling her eyes, giving me an attitude and being judgmental of the answers I provided. I did not feel supported by her, but with every other staff member I felt supported.

Very caring and knowledgeable staff all around. If you or someone you know needs help, this is a great place to start.

I encountered some of the most caring, genuine, and nurturing employees at this facility. They have adolescent and adult services for anxiety/depression and dual diagnosis (mental health with addiction to a substance). Their program uses evidence based practices and provides real tools for living a life according to your values despite such issues. I know several students who benefited from the program and was able to meet them directly. Definitely a place to go for help.

If you're having a hard time, Linden Oaks is the best mental health unit I have ever been in and I have been in a lot through the years. Excellent patient to staff ratio, fantastic groups and individual support!

I wish I could give this horrific program zero stars. To start, some of the support staff is just horrifically rude. But the worst part. The worst and most awful part of this program is Kaitlin. I have been in programs before but Kaitlin just fully should not be a therapist. At all. Anywhere. At best, she doesn’t care. The experience I had with her was scaring. She spent the entire time I was there pushing me into residential treatment. When I told her over and over and over again that wasn’t what I wanted, and practically begged from start to finish to simply be allowed to join the trauma cohort - she refused to let me and pushed harder for residential instead. I finally mentioned to other staff members this was happening and she clearly did not like that, because it got worse from there. I opened up about a horribly traumatic experience in a one on one with her, to which she said nothing, because all she does in one on ones (or group sessions at that) is stay silent and stare at you, and then immediately after we went into a process group where I began to open up again. Before I even got out fully what I wanted to say she said “have you considered what you have done to make people treat you this way?” I played dumb because I wanted her to be clear. She hesitated and did not want to answer. The rest of the group tried to chime in and make it better. One of the group members said “I think what she meant was that these things happened to you but you didn’t deserve it.” To which she replied “the first part… not the second part.” At this point I left the program entirely. I called the patient advocate but I never heard anything after that first phone call. I spoke to my outpatient therapist who agreed that in no way did I need residential treatment. I ended up going to another outpatient program where I received proper care and actually got better. They agreed as well that I did not in any way need residential treatment. I am convinced Kaitlin was lying about me to others on the treatment team as well. At one point I watched her run to the back office and over heard her explaining away an incident between us to cover her tracks. I even told her in a one on one that I didn’t feel she liked me very much. She said “I would encourage you not to worry about that.” There was a group session separately where everyone in the group went around saying they felt similarly. That she simply did not like them. Another woman walked out in the middle of a session while I was there as well. Kaitlin traumatized me more than when I went in. She should not be there. And their management staff doesn’t care about any of this at all. I hate linden oaks. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone unless you want to be worse than you were when you went in. Disgusting place with disgusting treatment and patient care. Editing to add: every patient is supposed to receive a survey at the end of their experience here. I did receive my paperwork after I left with my notes, but of course was never given the chance to submit a survey. I am sure you can see why.
