List of James B Grossweiner's Reviews
Dr. Grossweiner is the best. Very thorough, knowledgeable, always errors on the cautious side. Professional with a sense of humor. Wait time sometimes long but worth the wait. I've been seeing him at least 10 years.
I've been going to Dr Grossweiner since 1999. However I haven't needed to see him since 2012. Thus...he now considers me a brand new patient and I have to wait 3 months for an appointment. Unbelievable. Does he think he's the only Dermatologist around? Screw that. If he's the disloyal to 20 year patients, I'll gladly go elsewhere.
Had an 8:30 appointment this morning which was scheduled roughly 10 days ago with Dr Grossweiner as a new patient. As I checked in the receptionist said nothing. I started the conversation. I said I had an appointment Dr grossweiner at 8:30 and she says you have no appointment with Dr grossweiner he's not here. I mentioned that I had taken the day off for the appointment. Then she finally said that my appointment was with Dr. Blaszak. I replied as a new patient it did not matter I was there for that appointment. The interaction was just handled poorly from a customer service standpoint. As I sat in the waiting room Dr. Blazek came out and called my name. He was extremely mechanical in his personality. As I stepped through to the hallway to the exam rooms all he said was the room number .He didn't introduce himself no good morning how are you extremely mechanical in his delivery I felt rushed in and out of the exam. When I was inquiring originally about dermatologist I requested a male doctor little did I know I would be disrobing in front of his female counterpart as she was taking notes on the laptop. Very uncomfortable situation. not returning to this doctor!
Very knowledgeable, thorough and professional. I have seen him on several occasions and have never been disappointed with the results.
I have been seeing Dr. G for over 10 years. 4 years ago, I was there for a visit not related to a body check-up. But, as I was walking out the door he said lets check you anyway. He found a small spot on my back that turned out to be melanoma. Had he not, who knows when I would have been back, and it could have been much worse. He is one of the good ones! I highly recommend him.
An unprofessional staff at the desk who is not only rude but just plain ignorant, over an hour wait every time even when you have an appointment, a doctor's office that uses the salesmanship of a used car dealership and a bad one at that. Even after repeated warnings, kept calling my daughter who is not 18, when I called the office to stop calling us at all and they should not be repeatedly calling a minor, I got a laugh and an "OK." Since they can't call, they started bombarding us with letters. I have already informed my primary physician not to recommend this place to anyone. Only doctor's office where 'needed' treatments are tried to impose on you through cheap tactics like "it will only take 5 minutes" (which it won't as you will wait over an hour every time you go here even with an appointment made 2 months in advance)," we can do this at the same time" (only doctor's office to give a buy one get one free sale). Like if it was going to take 15 minutes, I will choose to have skin cancer over the extra 10 minutes of a needed procedure. Avoid this place
He is absolutely awesome!
Dr Grossweiner is thorough but very conservative; if in doubt he will cut out and remove the mole or lesion in question. The front office staff is not responsive to patient questions or requests.
Waited an hour and 45 minutes in the waiting room for a procedure that took 10 minutes with no apology.
Professional, knowledgeable, courteous. Followed up personally. Am glad I am under his care.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
