Early January 2023 I got rushed to Edward hospital for a small bowel obstruction and Dr. Sugrue was the surgeon on call that did the surgery. He was polite, soft spoken and a very nice person. He ended up removing a little over a foot of small and large intestines which he said had already turned black. On top of that he repaired an umbilical hernia that I had from birth. Now that might sound routine but I also have ulcerative colitis and I’m on high doses of blood thinners for another issue. Dr. Sugrue and his team did a wonderful job cause I was back in the gym two months later feeling better than I did before.

I had to go to Edward Hospital Emergency room where it was determined that my gallbladder was extremely infected and inflamed and I had large gallstones. Dr. Sugrue fought to have my surgery done right away. It's been 2 weeks now and I'm healing nicely. Throughout it all, Dr. Sugrue was very kind, polite, and professional. He answered all my questions (and my family's). I wish all doctors/surgeons were like Dr. Sugrue. I was so scared and nervous and his kindness eased that for me. I highly recommend him!

I would HIGHLY recommend Dr.Sugrue he was so theory , answered every question we had , he made things happen for my husband knowing how sick my husband was. I do not understand how he doesn’t have 5 star rating !!

rude, monotonous, not interested in my care. treats his co-workers poorly until the main surgeon is there. would not choose again if i had choice in the residents that i see.
