Jyoti Shah's Online Review Report Card

my child was inpatient at 12 for suicidal ideation. very sad situation where she did have full family support though. Dr shah's lack of communication and follow through was horrific. She changed my kids meds without anyone telling her until the evening when it was up to the nurse to do it. (not supposed to be her job) She refused to keep her on a med she had been on for months because she had lost weight. (even though we explained it was from the food choices they were giving her) then due to her bad communication the nurse did not inform us of a family communication session. came in immediately to do it and they begged her to let my daughter go home that day. she refused. she also refused to call me at my request. what kind of doctor does not call a parent back like that at their request. I had to leave my child there at 12 yrs old crying to go home. Now the issue would be if the child needs help again will they go back ?? she should not be allowed to work with children. terrifying

Horrific experience. Extremely condescending and does not listen to the patient at all. She completely deserves all the terrible reviews on this site. Absolutely horrified with the atrocious care she gave me and her complete lack of empathy.

Her decisions seem to be based on what works best for her, not what is in the best interest of her patients. While family involvement is important in caring for the “whole” patient, she does not appear to listen to or value the importance of family concerns, IF you are even able to get her to call you back. When your loved one is in the care of people who are supposed to be trusted, it’s very disappointing when they can’t be.

She is extremely condescending and works poorly with Young adult patients . Dishonest and treatment approach is ineffective because of this dishonesty factor.

I met with Dr. Shah apx. 10 times and unfortunately found her to be inauthentic and, more importantly, unable to clearly explain rationale for medication choices and dosages. Had to get a second opinion and I am thankful I did. I hate to leave a poor review but she just doesn't impress as a clinician and seems to need more experience.

I don’t understand how Jyoti Shah even has a medical degree. She does not care about her patients in the slightest and is blatantly biased. She is the medical director of the eating disorder program at Linden Oaks and yet does not seem to have any knowledge of how to treat eating disorders or how to effectively communicate with patients who are struggling with an eating disorder.

Horrible doctor. Does not care about her patients at all. Despite being the director of an eating disorders program, she seems to have very little actual knowledge of how to treat eating disorders. Stay away.

Absolutely terrible Doctor, un experienced enough to treat childeren and doesnt care about there emotions, doesn't lesson, think parents are stuiped and has no respect to parents and guardians . She thinks she knows every thing, never ready, we hate Linden Oaks because of her treatmmet style, her treatment doesnt work and kids get worest and kids dont get better actually get worest. Stay away from her. Wish she gets humiliated and fired soon.
