List of Karla C Dorsey-Johnson's Reviews
I had an appointment for a routine physical. My appointment time was at 3:30 pm. After waiting in the lobby for 45 minutes, I approached the receptionist to see if she could find out how much longer it might be. She told me that she had heard that Dr. Dorsey-Johnson was running 30 minutes behind and she would reach out to the medical assistant. At that time, the MA grabbed my chart and called me back. I let her know that I was about to leave because I had been waiting for 45 minutes. She then said it could be another 30 minutes before the doctor could see me. I ended up leaving. This is unacceptable! If the doctor was running late, a quick note to the patient should have been sent. I had scheduled this appointment in January! This unfortunately is not the first time I have waited nearly an hour for Dr. Dorsey-Johnson. I will be finding a new primary care physician.
I have been a patient at DuPage medical now Duly since I was in high school, I am now 34. As a routine individual I chose to stay with the practice and thought nothing of driving to the suburbs from the city for my yearly checkups until the practice began to change. Front desk individuals do not answer the phone and misinform patients about the appointments they booked. I sent a message about being able to restart a prescription and mentioned I was due for an annual when I made a follow up phone call and the nurse confirmed there was a cancellation and that she could book me for my physical. I arrive and pay $30 copay to talk with the doctor about a question that could have been answered via the message portal on MyChart. In no way did Dr. Dorsey seem apologetic about the confusion and continued to speak with me like I was incompetent about how appointments work. Her and the nurse then continued talking about getting labs done and tried to hand me a flyer of locations in the area to go to. So sad what a wonderful practice this was that has unfortunately turned to disorganized chaos. I will not be returning and highly recommend against going here.
Dr Johnson orders tests as part of regular physicals knowing that these tests are not covered by insurance and without giving patients a heads up that these tests are not covered by insurance. She then tells the billing dept that it is the patient’s responsibility to pay. She also pretty much forces you to use the DMG lab and makes it very hard to give you a lab order if you want to use a different lab. This practice is all about making money and DMG has no customer service. Avoid DMG and this practice at all cost.
Horrible Horrible Horrible experience.
Long wait time nearly 3 hours. I was misdiagnosed and given tge wrong medication for months and she was confident in her decision even tho she has been proven wrong by another doctor. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO HER!
A joke of a physician. Insulting in both bedside manner and medical professionalism.
My doctor is so caring and knowlegeable. I would highly recommend her to anyone. Best doctor ever!
Love Love Love My Doctor! Very knowledgeable and thoughtful towards hers patients! I live far away and travel just to see my doctor! Best doctor I have ever had!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
