Maliha Sayla Md's Online Review Report Card

Dr Sayla is very dismissive. I've only been seeing her for a little over a year after moving to plainfield. She was highly rated by other women in the area but it wasn't it for me. Every question I've had for her was dismissed and I felt it was with such arrogance but it took me a while to make up my mind that I will no longer work with her. - I told her my previous obygn prescribed me antidepressants after I gave birth, she cut me short and told me "go talk to your primary physician". She did not ask any questions at all. - I told her I'm thinking of have another child (I'm 40), I've never had problems getting pregnant, my last pregnancy was 3 years ago. Her response, "go to a fertility clinic" as she walks out of the door. Now I'm searching for a new obgyn.

Not friendly and was defensive when I asked questions and for alternative methods of screening.

When my water broke early and I was not ready to go in for a surgery, Dr.Sayla said this: “If you want to die with your baby on the table, sit here and wait”.She said that in front of my husband and a 3 year old son at the time. I surely had a panic attack after her words. I reached out to DMG with a review but nobody ever got back to me.I get it, she was annoyed with the patient who was scared to have her baby early and not ready for a surgery! That doesn’t give her any rights to say that my baby and I would have been dead! I have nothing else to add here!

Wonderful OB! She delivered my son via VBAC and was very supportive! She allowed me to labor and didn’t try to push a csection but was open to interventions if necessary to help me achieve my VBAC, which I did. Very thankful for her and my nurse.

I can not recommend Dr. Sayla, Dr. Stoeffler, Dr Kagan or this practice. If you want poor bedside manor then these are your people. I was told at my week 36 appointment I couldn’t leave due to high blood pressure. I kept having high blood pressure toward the end of my pregnancy. The whole ordeal and birth was a total nightmare. For starters, the rules on Covid are inconsistent. They test the delivering mother but my spouse was not made to take a Covid test. I was told the reason was b/c I was heavy breathing and could infect the nurses and doctor and that was the reason to only test me. However, what about the new child we are bringing home. What if my husband was positive. When you have high blood pressure you are induced. That starts with a few things but mainly breaking your water. Doctor Sayla didn’t even know she did not break my water correctly. I was left on pitocin for hours until she decided to try to break my water a second time. How a doctor doesn’t know a water bag is

I always had a hard time finding an OBGYN that I can feel comfortable talking to and one that will take time to explain things to me. And Dr. Sayla is one of the doctors that I CAN feel comfortable talking to. Highly recommend!

Giving two stars because I never met this doctor in person so I can’t rate on her bedside manner , but she was the on call doctor I spoke to when I was having pelvic pain and she was extremely rude. She answered the phone and sounded so annoyed that she had to deal with me , and when I told her what was going on she proceeds to ask me if Im sure I’m just not on my period. Which I found extremely ridiculous that someone would think I can’t tell the difference of being on my period and painful uncomfortable pelvic pain. She made me feel like such an inconvenience and was zero help. I luckily was able to get in with someone else the next day and found out I had an ovarian cyst. Based off the conversation alone I would not recommend this doctor , but like I said I can’t speak on her bedside manner as I’ve never met with her in person.

What a kind, compassionate, and gentle doctor who took time to explain everything to me. We have a beautiful son and we cannot thank her enough!

I was so fortunate to be referred to Dr. Sayla in July of 2018. I had always had terrible dysfunctional bleeding but I was put on blood thinners for PEs and everything got worse. From the moment I met Dr. Sayla, I was so comfortable and truly felt she was going to help me. My symptoms, my feelings, my worries were never downplayed or dismissed by Dr. Sayla or her staff. When I would call with a concern, the nursing staff would schedule an appointment for me to see Dr. Sayla within 1-2 days. I've never been that fortunate in the past with other gynecologists. I never got past the receptionist or nurse. I have seen Dr. Sayla in the office 7 times and have had 2 surgeries in a year's time. I am amazed by Dr. Sayla's kindness and compassion every time I see her. The one regret I have is not finding Dr. Sayla earlier. My life would have been so much better.

I'm a former patient of Dr. Sayla's. I miss her so much! My current gynecologist is also good, but I felt that Dr. Sayla's truly cared about me and my health. I wish I could have brought her and her staff with me when I moved!
