Megan Mietelski's Online Review Report Card

I would NEVER recommend Dr. Mietelski. I would give a negative star rating if it was possible. From the moment I was addressed by her in the exam room, she was extremely rude, disparaging, condescending and dismissive. She would not allow a response to the barrage of negative remarks she threw out. When I stated that I didn’t feel as though I should have to defend my concerns & personal choices related to my healthcare, she had a sarcastic smirk & stated ‘fine, just go somewhere else then’, slammed her computer closed and walked out the door. After looking at all of the similar reviews, it is clear that she does not care about representing Edwards healthcare in a positive light. She should consider a completely different profession.

This visit with Dr. Mieteski , was very rushed, she was very rude, could hardly talk, without her saying "You know this, You that you have..." so what are you doing. "We've already talked about this." Etc. what a joke. Per my primary doctor she wanted me to follow up with my gynecologist. I kept it professional with her without walking out because of how berating she was toward me. The front desk staff has been very nice. Even a few nurses I've came in contact with. Sad to say she started out wonderful after that noticed how the bedside manners went down hill, today was the last I'll deal with it. Don't think I'll be returning to this office.

Just had my first visit with Dr Mietelski it's been a while since I've been to a gyne and I felt like she answered everything I had questions for. She was very thorough.

I was absolutely appalled at the demeanor of Dr. Mietelski during my visit. She was rude, condescending, and sarcastic from the moment she walked into the room. She was extremely unprofessional and I would NEVER recommend her. Most of the recommendations were quite some time ago so perhaps it is time to revisit patient communication skills.

After moving to the area, I began seeing Dr Mietelski for infertility. She and her office were horrible! I would wait over two hours in the waiting room for an appointment, for her to only meet with me for five minutes. She told me that I couldn't afford IVF, knowing zero about my finances! She was rude, always rushing me out, never giving me information. I had to do my own research and was able to get pregnant on my own without any guidance from her. Once I finally got pregnant, I drove 3 hours back "home" to a doctor I could trust.

This was my first visit. The nurses were professional & kind, but Dr Megan Mietelski was hostile & berated me from the second she walked in the door. Without asking my name or introducing herself, immediately sat & stated that I have too much sugar in my urine sample. I responded that I’m a type 1 diabetic & I just ate on the way here, my blood sugar is xyz, etc. She scoffed & said “well obviously you have a yeast infection, don’t you know that? Why are you here?” I answered her questions to the best of my ability & she repeatedly cut me off mid-sentence, suggesting that I didn’t know enough about my own condition & not acknowledging the multiple comorbidities I have that really complicate my diabetes. She then said “your chart states you’re here for pain?” I said calmly “no, I don’t have any pain. That must be a mistake.” & she scoffed again, as if I was lying. She asked me about a symptom I had been experiencing for 6 months, asking how my life changed in that time period. I said I really couldn’t put my finger on it, & that I wanted to try removing my IUD to see if that helps my concern. She cut me off again & loudly said “you’ve had that for 4 YEARS. NOT 6 MONTHS. ITS NOT THAT.” I then calmly stated I was uncomfortable with the way I was being spoken to, & I asked if I had done something wrong. She just replied “OK” with a huge smile on her face, as I was humiliated. I said “I’m going to leave” & she smirked & scoffed even bigger, saying “fine, leave.” As she walked out the door, she laughed at me & said “you’re sitting there with no clothes on & you’re not even getting a well exam.” I said very confused, “your nurse told me to get undressed?” & she repeated herself & slammed the door, laughing at the fact that I was not wearing clothes, even though I was told to do so… Anything she said to me was accusatory or insulting, as if I was lying on purpose or I was stupid. 0 of my chief concerns were addressed, because the initial conversation went so horribly, so fast. I’ve never felt so bullied by another adult in my life, let alone a doctor. Note the other hidden 1-star reviews…this is NOT the first time Dr Mitelski has berated a patient.

Dr. Mietelski was not a pleasant provider to work with by any means. Our first appointment she told me I shouldn’t eat carbs for my pregnancy or “any time really.” Later when there was a miscommunication about my 20 week ultrasound she made it a point to insist that she told me what to do correctly and that I was in the wrong. The icing on the cake was after my delivery when I was discharged from the hospital without much information on what to expect from my body, but being pumped full of worry for pre-eclampsia. When I noticed swelling in my legs and called the office to see if this was normal postpartum I received a voicemail back from Dr. Mietelski scolding me for not answering her call (even though i’m new mother with a brand new baby at home) and blatantly telling me to not call her again. Nothing like feeling berated in your first few days of motherhood by someone who’s supposed to provide care. 👍

My husband and l are new to the area and booked an appointment with this office based on reviews. So happy we did! Megan was fantastic! From the moment she stepped into the room, we knew we were in good hands. Although we didn’t receive good news, Megan was comforting, positive, professional, and we both could tell she really knew her stuff. She also went out of her way to make sure I was scheduled within a few days for a procedure. You can tell she truly cares about her patients, even patients she just met! Megan’s staff was also the best! They were all super friendly and caring. Tina went above and beyond to help us when we had to get labs drawn. Thank you Tina! We were impressed by this office and we cannot say enough great things. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for everything you and your staff provided us! We HIGHLY recommend this office!
