My husband came into Edward-Elmhurst Emergency with shortness of breath. He was immediately taken to an examination room, by-passing the normal forms & registration. Dr. Hartmann ran tests & called the Midwest Cardiology doctors. The hospital and staff, including Dr. Hartmann are superior to any other medical team . My husband had a pulmonary embolism, also called a ‘widow-maker’. I am happy to say I am not a widow. The quick response and expertise of Dr. Hartmann in evaluating the situation played a most important role in getting my husband the care he needed. Thank you, Dr. Hartmann.

Dr. Hartmann was exceptional today when I had to bring my mom in for some pain she was experiencing. We are always happy with the team at the Plainfield ER location but this doctor was excellent. He did a thorough exam, ordered appropriate tests and communicated quickly and efficiently with his findings. Thank you so much for your professionalism today.

Took excellent care of my father today in the ER.Was reassuring and patient with him. Also genuinely appreciated how kind and attentive the nurse and patient care tech were--wish I could remember their names, I believe his nurse was Erica. Unfortunately have made many trips to this ER, and this was one of the better experiences we've had. When Dr. Hartmann said he'd be back in a half hour, he meant it. My father and I also appreciated his thoroughness and follow up recommendations. Thank you for making a rough experience just a little bit better!

I appreciated his kindness. He's an active listener, knowledgeable and thorough. Moreover, I felt as though I could trust him. Instantaneous comfort, particularly in an ER, is both rare and impressive. The same can be said about Dr. Hartmann... Rare and impressive.
