Is there a zero or minus score? Their main counselor Laura Discipio can’t establish any patient rapport by acting very rude and patronizing from the first few minutes of meeting you, chats a ton on random topics instead of providing any clinical services, and overall acts like some “know it all” with absolutely nothing to show for it. Horrible experience. Worst counselor I have ever met, and if it is your first counseling experience you may want to stay away from therapy altogether. However -there are good counselors, just not at this place. Avoid by all means.
I was informed before my session with a high level of certainty that I would not be charged. When I received a bill for a high amount and called to discuss the discrepancy, the lady at the front desk seemed to take my concern as a personal affront to her, interrupted me repeatedly, spoke angrily to tell me she never said that, and failed to understand that I was just asking because I was confused and wanted clarity, not because I was trying to accuse her. After she was done explaining her piece, she tried to hang up the phone before I could finish responding! I honestly would have understood that they couldn't change the cost at that point and would have had no problem if I was simply told this information respectfully. On top of this, I didn't find my session with Liza to be helpful. She did not give me anything to work on outside of my session until I specifically requested it. Her response to some of the concerns I brought up were that these things were "not good," but she did not provide any solutions. I know they are "not good," which is why I was there for therapy... She also spent a significant amount of time talking about her own life and frustrating experiences with her daughter and her friends. This did not feel relevant to the session and wasted valuable time I needed to focus on my own issues. She then verbally scheduled another session with me, penciled it into her notebook, I put it in my calendar, but when I called later to cancel the session (due to reasons mentioned above), I was told there was never any follow-up session booked for me to begin with. What if I had actually found the appointment helpful and shown up the following week, only to realize it was never put in the system and someone else was meeting with her at that time?
I have been seeing Liza Devaney for several years and she has helped me navigate some very tough life events. The sessions with Liza have been incredibly helpful and grounding. Liza creates a safe and supportive environment and I feel heard and understood. Her empathy is genuine and her communication style is clear, thoughtful, and nonjudgmental. I also work with Liza in a DBT group she leads. Liza maintains a balance between offering compassionate support and encouraging growth and accountability. I've learned practical tools that have already made a noticeable difference in how I manage stress, relationships, and emotions.
I have called and left many messages over a 6 day time period requesting a phone call to change an appt. I have yet to get a call back confirming my appts let alone to change an appt that I have no missed. Very unprofessional and very unorganized. The one time I got a call it was to tell me well call you back once we check schedules. The messages were very detailed no excuse for that.
Liza is an excellent clinician.
My daughters have both had excellent experiences here with Jessica and Sangita. They are professional and encouraging. I would definitely recommend!
I've been going there for a long time. People are great!
Terrible billing practices. Please stay away from this place.
Has been a very positive experience for me.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
