Seems like an "old school" operation over there. Not your typical Naperville practice. Cluttered waiting room. Mediocre staff lacking enthusiasm, communication, and professionalism. 40 minutes into my appointment time and still no doctor. I ended up walking out and won't return.

My visit to Naperville Eye Associates was wonderful. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Dr. Kim was kind yet very professional. I would highly recommend their services.

Avoid. Like all other reviewers billing section is worst. Even though I submitted my primary and secondary insurance they billed to secondary and not took prior authorization from primary insurance. Secondary insurance withdrew the claim. Now they are saying it is six months we cannot take prior authorization from primary carrier. Primary insurance ready to process claim but billing department finding excuses that it is too late and going to bill me. They have not taken prior authorization at first time and performed procedure. Now insurance called them to initiate pre authorization under retrocert , even though their attitude is rude. Dr Debartolo is good, only front desk billing employee attitude is rude

AVOID at all costs! Without a doubt the worst experience I have ever had. Like all of the other reviewers, I too was a victim of their scamming billing system. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

This has been my go-to for emergency and routine eye exams since I moved here in the '90's. The staff always seems to get me in to see the doc if it is more urgent. One day when my referral did not arrive from my Primary Care, Victoria called my doc's office and found a way to make it work so I could still see Dr. Kim that day. They go above and beyond for their patients. They are very friendly and efficient.

The way they do their billing is a testament to how broken the US healthcare system is. Whether I can criticize Naperville Eye Associates for caring about nothing but short-term profitability in a healthcare system that operates pretty much like a free market economy is a question I do not have an answer to, what I do know tho is that there are many places out there that do care about other things too such as long-term trust and relationship with patients, and I will never, ever, go back to this place.

I should have listened to the reviews. Sat and waited almost an hour. I was there for almost an hour and forty-five minutes total. I was never asked nor informed they would preform an eyeglasses exam that is $40 out-of-pocket. When asked for a refund they were very rude and shady about stating there's signs all over the office and that they will not refund me for a preformed service. Very sketchy place, would never go back. A shame to, the doctor was very friendly.

My husband, John Davis experienced major problems in the billing ,concerning a request for follow up on cataract exams and they billed me also for eye test for glasses, cost of $40. Which was not requested. This is wrong when you take advantage of seniors.
