List of Scott Kagan's Reviews
Dr. Kagan is truly a one a kind physcian. He saw me through my first pregnancy with severe hyperemisis at just 17 and has now been helping with expanding my family in my thirties. He has the most incredible bedside manner and truly goes above and beyond for his patients and their families. I am so thankful that he has been my provider for over ten years now!
I would NEVER recommend Dr. Kagan. You know when a doctor says, “this may hurt?” Well you won’t get that from doctor Kagan. He legit handled me like I was a dead body that he was training on. I’m still shocked at how he talks about serious surgery with the lack of emotion that you would expect from a customer ordering a chicken sandwich from Chick-fi-A.

I can not recommend Dr. Sayla, Dr. Stoeffler, Dr Kagan or this practice. If you want poor bedside manor then these are your people. I was told at my week 36 appointment I couldn’t leave due to high blood pressure. I kept having high blood pressure toward the end of my pregnancy. The whole ordeal and birth was a total nightmare. For starters, the rules on Covid are inconsistent. They test the delivering mother but my spouse was not made to take a Covid test. I was told the reason was b/c I was heavy breathing and could infect the nurses and doctor and that was the reason to only test me. However, what about the new child we are bringing home. What if my husband was positive. When you have high blood pressure you are induced. That starts with a few things but mainly breaking your water. Doctor Sayla didn’t even know she did not break my water correctly. I was left on pitocin for hours until she decided to try to break my water a second time. How a doctor doesn’t know a water bag is
I saw Dr Kagan several times and he also performed 2 procedures on me. Procedures were done with no problems. The problems occurred regarding a RX he prescribed. I encountered severe bleeding and did not get a response in a timely fashion from him. When I called to report this, and spoke to the RN she said "Oh. I guess the doctor forgot to tell you that there would be bleeding after you were done with the presription". The Big problem was that I came to him for bleeding. After the first procedure I still had more bleeding than when I first saw him. After the second procedure there was increased bleeding. After taking an RX the bleeding was very severe. I no longer expect that he will be able to help me. I am not happy with his service.
I recently visited Dr. Kagan and he went above and beyond. He truly cared about me and my health. He took time to call me after hours just to check in and see how I was feeling. He did this on several occasions and I'm truly grateful. He truly cared about me and my health. TI'm so glad that he's my doctor.
Dr. Scott Kagan charges his patients ridiculous prices for poor service. I have severe menstrual cramps that have been debilitating over the past year, and I asked him to examine my issue and provide help. He not only did not do any medical examining whatsoever (in fact, he sat there for 20 mins and talked to me about how my severe pain was "normal"…how would he know if he never felt the pain I've felt? FYI the pain is so bad each month, I often pass out & can't walk or vomit), but he prescribed me birth control pills and charged me for a pregnancy test. He tried to "cover up" the issue rather than "fix it." I did not ask for a pregnancy test (not once) nor did I want birth control pills. He did this to make more money selfishly for himself. I wanted to be examined physically so I could begin to resolve my issue if I have a serious condition. He charged me over $250 for absolutely no help. I had to go visit another gynecologist and pay more. I am recommending every single friend that used to go to him to leave him immediately. No one should go to Dr. Scott Kagan.
Dr. Kagan provided me one of the worst patient experiences I ever had. He wrongly charged me for a pregnancy test I never asked for and never medically examined my health issue to begin with. I have to pay out of pocket for my visit while having to go to another doctor to get my actual examination done. I am disappointed and frustrated with not only his act of service but at this entire situation at hand. I wish I never went to him from the start.
I am Dr. Kagan's patient since 2012. One of the best in Naperville.
My wife has seen Dr.Kagan for couple times this year. Dr.Kagan is a little bit cold, but he is very carefully and detailed during examination. He is serious and listen to our request. After our appointment, he even called me and try to clarify my wife's situation. Based on this, I would like to recommend him as very good OB doctor.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
