List of Sohal K Patel's Reviews
He took the time to listen, ask more questions, and really try to understand and pinpoint my problem. Has a way of explaining things that helped me understand what and why I have this problem. He was also explained treatment options clearly.
He prescribed a medication for a specific disease that not only can make it worse, but cause life threatening complications.
Dr. Patel helped us at Alexian when our dad had a stroke. He paid attention to him and cared about us. He and the whole hospital explained everything to us. This is a great hospital!
Attrocious. Should leave medicine. Dr. Patel sets the bar for the lowest quality physician imaginable. He offers an bizarre mix of arrogance, poor bedside manner and incoherent explanations of patient care. At first, I assumed he had personal problems or an unusally high workload. Multiple interactions with Dr. Patel revealed a somewhat more disturbing story. He is simply not a physician motivated by patient outcomes and, hence, should NOT be practicing medicine.
I found him arrogant and full of ego. doesn't have any patience to talk to a patient. Treats patients badly. Seems like knows answers even before knowing the questions and extremely short on time. It felt he has been forced to visit my husband, he didn't come by choice. Wouldn't advise him to anyone who is looking for an empathetic and caring provider
Amazing smart doctor. A few months ago, My mother was debilitated in the ICU, doctors didn't know why, and Dr. Patel came in, talked to us, examined her, and figured out the problem in minutes! He got her on treatment, and now my mother is walking again! He changed everything. I read these other negative reviews online of this doctor - don't believe them! He's respectful, makes things easy to understand, and smarter than most people.
This doctor saved my father's life from a bad stroke. He came to the ER, looked at my dad, told me he's having a severe stroke that would change his life forever. Dr. Patel seemed to be in a rush, but I know it's because he worked fast to help get the drug as fast as they could into my dad. This doctor cared for him in the hospital until he went to rehab. Now, my dad is talking and walking again. Many thanks.
He listened to me, answered my questions, and had comfortable bedside manner. Explained complicated things in a way I understood.
I had a consult with this doctor at the hospital, he seemed annoyed that he was asked to see me, horrible bed side manner, dismissed me very quickly like I was some burden to him. Doesn't seem to like people. Sorry to have disturbed whatever you were doing dr. Patel. Rest assured I will never visit you again or refer anyone else to you.
I always search and look for reviews on a Dr when necessary. Today as I sit and search while in the hospital with my mom she was refered to Dr Sohal Patel for a neurological consult. I read these previous reviews and panicked. I briefly spoke to her nurse about him and my findings. She was helpful with easing my fears. I met with Dr Sohal Patel and he examined my mom. Ordered a test and explained his next course of action. I do not have any negative feedback as of now. I will follow up on here again. I'm just hoping that my review will ease anyone else in my situation as each is unique. My rating is a 4 as of now.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
