List of Tom Z Wang Md's Reviews
Believe the bad reviews! Do not trust this "doctor." Not only is he as rude as everyone is saying, but he will ruin your face.
Worst experience ever. Arrogant and dismissive. Have to find a doctor who can fix what the doctor ruined.
Dr. Wang has a high opinion of himself and unfortunately for patients, the quality of his work doesn't live up to it. I'm devastated by what he did to my nose.
Tom D. Wang is an excellent plastic surgeon. He is a man of integrity and does care about patients and craft.
We reviewed all things in detail of what I was wanting with surgery done on my nose, it was clear on what specific areas of interest he was to work on. No discussions that he could not do the job fully. The surgery has been completed. There are several things at question now. I do not trust Dr Wang. It is hard to get a straight answer out of him. He does not follow directions well. I regret going to him and have seen another Doctor to see if we can fix what I have asked to be fixed.
Dr. Wang is a scar revision master. I had a deep punch biopsy by a primary care doctor for a suspicious nodule that resulted in a noticeable nose scar (indented and red). Through a series of silicone injections + BBL + laser, Dr. Wang made it basically disappear. This is a testament to his creativity, perfectionism, and compassionate care. :)
A facelift did not correct what I had hoped to correct, marionette lines, and left me with asymmetrical lips.
I had upper and lower blephs and brow lift with Dr. Wang. When I asked him for former patients to contact, he only gave me one in Salem. She didn't say anything bad, but wasn't raving either. That should have been a red flag. My eyes did not turn out well, very asymmetrical. His response was everybody's eyes are asymmetrical. I asked him for photos; he sent. They did not show what I see in photos taken by others. In my opinion, I look like I have Down Syndrome. I am still looking for a revisionist doctor as I would never go back to him. Also, I was told I was going to be first in am for surgery so I got there early. I was not first; and I didn't leave until late afternoon. All I'll add is "do your homework".
Dr. Wang fixed my nose after another doctor botched it (broken nose, bone and cartilage). He had to straighten it and use cartilage from behind my ear to support the collapsed cartilage so I could breath. He was professional and let me know everything that he was going to do and how he was going to do it. He took the time to come meet with my parents on the day of my surgery (since they were my ride home). Nose is not perfect, but that is because of the break and not him. He made it a million times better and I can breath, which was the purpose!
Dr. Wang did a fine job with my plastic surgery procedure. However, he was one of the most unpleasant healthcare providers I have ever encountered. He is very dismissive, does not take adequate time to explain procedures or aftercare, is condescending and clearly doesn't value being reassuring or presenting a caring attitude. Plastic surgery on ones face is daunting and anxiety provoking for most people. He is incredibly cavalier about the procedure and borders on being insulting and outright rude.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
