Yonghua Michael Zhang's Online Review Report Card

Went to him for migraines, after some tests his staff called to give me my results. My MRI was good but that my EEG was abnormal. There were sharps within the brain waves with NO seizure activity. The dr wants me to start taking medication. At my follow up, I told him that I hadn’t started taking the meds, cause I had some questions. He was very upset and said if I don't take the meds I was going to start having seizures. I told him what his staff told me. He said, I don’t care what they said, I’m telling you something different to your face. He accused me of not trusting him and said if that was the case I need to see another dr. And if I didn’t take my meds he would report me, Cannot drive due to seizures. I was so scared and I carefully and calmy said, I’m not trying to quest. your judgement. I have this simple quest. about the test. He ignored me. I kept saying, Dr, I’m trying to talk to you. He kept ignoring me. I ran out of his office crying. DO NOT GO SEE HIM.

Dr. Michael Zhang is an excellent and thorough practitioner. He took the time to understand my father's clinical presentation, and answered my family's questions thoroughly and with compassion. I trust this specialist and was extremely impressed with his assessment, diagnostic tests and ultimate diagnosis, treatment, and plan.

Started seeing Dr. Zhang and turned out to be one of the nicest, caring doctors I've seen lately. Never rushes you. Would highly recommend.

I was referred by my PCP. Very rude man. Said he thinks what’s wrong but refused to say what it was. Would not answer questions. Told me he wouldn’t speculate and I had too many questions. Do not see him if you need help. Terrible

My wife has a neurology problem and we've been in this country for almost 40 years and this is the best doctor we've ever seen!

He wasn’t friendly really wanted to take my son and run I read about him regarding a patient with spacity and wanted him for my son but he wasn’t interest glad I founded another Doctor who explained my case thoroughly and understanding,compassionate

Dr. Zhang cares more about telling you what he wants and not listening to your questions or the concerns. My appointments are complete wastes of my time as he does not like to give direct answers and he appears very insecure and defensive in my opinion. He stated he wasn’t concerned about something I asked him. I asked him if that was a normal finding and he once again stated he wasn’t concerned. I told him I understood that but I wanted to know if that would be considered generally normal in his professional opinion. He then rudely stated he didn’t want to play word games. I told him I’m not playing word games I was trying to get more information or if he was just being GUARDED since he wasn’t answering a direct question. He then said he didn’t know what guarded meant. He also reported inaccurate and misleading post appointment notes regarding my appointments. I have never left a review like this for any physicians but he more than deserves it.

I had seen Dr Zhang after being admitted to the hospital. He was the neurologist who had seen me while I was there. After being released I followed up with my PCP. He mentioned MS and told me to talk to Dr Zhang about it. At my follow up visit with Dr Zhang I asked him about MS and he snapped at me and said he knows my PCP and that he would never say that! He said he saw my brain and spine and everything was fine and that if I wanted to stress about MS don’t call him! Yes, he actually said that and he was anything but pleasant about it. Very, very rude man. He should not have a job dealing with people. When he discharged me from the hospital he didn’t even come in the room. He called on the phone and told me he had no idea what was going on. If he was at least knowledgeable and helpful one could almost overlook his horrific bedside manner but he did nothing to help me. Needless to say the follow up visit was the last time I saw him.

Dr. Zhang is a rude, condescending, ignorant, poor excuse for a doctor. He didn’t seem the slightest bit interested, in helping me with my condition or concerns. This man should not be allowed to practice medicine! Dr. Zhang asked me to describe the symptoms I was experiencing. I explained to him the diagnosis I had received from my ENT and started to explain some swallowing and digestive issues, that I was also having. He stopped me and rudely said “I’m a Neurologist, not a GI doctor.” I answered, telling him, I was well aware of that, as I had made the appointment. I asked him “you mean to tell me that digestive and swallowing issues can not be related to a neurological condition?” He said, it is possible. He then went on to say that “the more symptoms you tell me, the more I have to put into the computer.” It was as if I was bothering him or wasting his time. It could have also been that he doesn’t know how to type, so it took him a little longer. I left the appointment feeling disappointed and disgusted! I would not let this man change a bandage for me, let alone allow him to treat me for any neurological condition. He also never followed up on my test results as promised.
