Yousuf Sayeed's Online Review Report Card

I have been a patient of his for many years. He really takes the time to listen and understand the problem. I feel very confident with his recommendations. He has made a big impact in my quality of life and I would (and have) recommend him to anyone that suffers with chronic pain.

Dr. Yousuf is a stand up guy.. great personality, great patient relationship with his patients truly listens. He has Truly been a savor with my spinal cord injury/cauda equina syndrome. After having the DRG implant I was Skeptical. My pain was so intense , before the surgery and after. But it’s been 6 months and the device is doing its job. I was one of the rare ones unfortunately diagnosed with my condition and Dr.Yousuf took me in with open arms. Willing to do whatever he can to help eliminate the pain. Truly a great EAR. I’m very grateful for his help.

The Doctor walked into the appointment giving off bad energy like he didn’t wanna help me before he even said hello. I’ve been dealing with a shoulder issue(post surgery ) and was referred from the orthopedic in which the pain management specialist stated how can he help me with pain? I asked for a shot or pain meds he basically treated me like a drug addict and said there no pill for the shoulder. never have I felt so disrespected and so insulted by someone. He came into the room already with his mind made up that he wasn’t going to give me a shot or give me medication he never even wanted to hear what I had to say or what I was going through pain wide and he’s a pain management specialist. I even asked him if you can’t help me who can? Not a good guy he’s just a part of a chain there’s no personality with him and he does not care about his patients or what they’re going through I highly suggest spending your money with someone else

This was my first injection ever and was nervous. I told him that within the first minute of meeting him and he told me *This is going to hurt alot*.. that was not what I was expecting to hear in calming down me down. Then he proceeded to ask if I wanted to stand, sit, lay down.. I said I should probably lay down so I don’t flinch.. He tells me * I don’t care if you flinch*. Now we are batting 0 for 2 with his character. Then he asks *Where do you want it?* I didn’t know how to respond so I paused.. he then says out of frustration *Do you want it in your spine, your muscles, your joint?* I was completely beside myself being I had no idea and thinking what Kind of Doctor asks this question? I told him I’m the patient and you are the Doctor.. how would I know? I was given 2 injections.. he was very rough. Then he told me you can stay here as long as you like.. and walked out. There was no communication of what to expect, what I should look for or feel, just nothing. I literally wandered out into the hallway after a few minutes looking for anyone to give me any information.. there was no one. I asked the receptionist if there was any post information I should know. She says *He didn’t talk to you?* I said no. She says *Hold on.. let me find him.* She returns and tells me *Nope.. just come back if you need us.* I was completely beside myself with this visit and was so upset over his lack of professionalism, bedside manner, and simply lack of communication. If you are referred here or are looking.. go to someone else. Horrible experience.

Dr. Sayeed is part of an assembly-line pain management arrangement. If his treatment doesn’t help, insist that your GP find a neurosurgeon. Sayeed may suggest this but he will not help you locate anyone and without help from a physician, you’ll be waiting weeks for an initial appointment. 2 of my 3 injections with Sayeed left me vomitting, in pain, and worse off. I had to beg for a pain killer the first time and the second time was told I probably needed to see a neurologist. Did I get any help locating one? No. All on my own. My problem, not his.

I saw Doctor Sayeed for 3 orthovisc injections in my knee. The first visit he was wonderful. Caring, concerned even humorous to help relax me before the injection. All was great with the first shot. Actually talked to me a bit after the shot to help explain how it worked. The second shot I noticed he wasn't quite as talkative but still in my opinion professional. I had to ask though at the end of the injection why he had to re stick my knee. He said something to the nurses in the room at the time and also the re positioning of the Xray machine 3 times. It was something about tracking or backing out of the liquid from the orthovisc. By the third injection he barely said a word to me in the room. Didn't ask me how the previous injections worked or how I felt afterward. Just basically came in and said, you ready. On the table in the room he did not put anything under my knee just pulled it up. He cleaned it properly but just held my leg and did the first part of the shot. After he injected the orthovisc he actually threw the container onto a cart not far from where my head was on the table. It bounced off and hit the floor. Even the nurses seemed surprised he did that. Finished the procedure then grudgingly answered a question I had and just left the room. I might add that the first injection was first thing in the morning and the second 2 were late afternoon. Maybe he had a rough day, don't know. I just wish that he would be the doctor I saw the first visit, every visit.
