Back in September, my dad was admitted at Mercy General downtown, and Dr. Ahmad happened to be his attending physician. Dr. Ahmad made sure we were all informed about my dad's health and that he received the needed treatment promptly. She took the time to explain my dad's condition in detail and advised us to the best of her knowledge. Dr. Ahmad went above and beyond when it came to caring; she had typed two full pages of instructions for us to follow at the time of discharge. The instructions were very comprehensive; and the nurse at discharge was surprised. Even after discharge, she took the time to follow-up and ask about my dad's health. Fast forward a few months; my dad is in excellent health again, all thanks to Dr. Ahmad and the amazing people at Mercy General. So, if you happen to be her patient, rest assured you are in great hands!

Dr. Ahmad was willing to explore and utilize non-blood alternatives with an anemic patient who would absolutely not accept a blood transfusion. She truly treats the whole patient and fully respects each patient's right to self-determination.

Dr. Ahmad is an excellent, caring, dedicated hospitalist. My husband spent a week at Methodist Hospital, Sacramento and Dr. Ahmad was his attending physician. While very knowledgeable and attentive to his medical condition, she never hesitated to ask for a specialist's opinion, if and when warranted. Nights she called me at home to inform me of developments and of plans for the following day. She is a born healer, a person who obviously loves her profession and her patients. Highly recommended.

My dad has been hospitalized for the past 4 months now. Everytime, a doctor walks in they roll their eyes like oh now what else is wrong with him. she has truly cared for him! And I feel like all doctors should be like that, but she is the only gem in methodist hospital.
