List of Laura Hamad's Reviews
I had a very negative experience with Laura Hamad. After going to the er for gi issues I was told to find a gi doctor and went to Laura before she even did any tests on me she told me that all my symptoms were from anxiety, she said we should do a colonoscopy and I complied after it was done she told me I was perfectly healthy. Next step was to check my gallbladder after getting a scan for that she once again told me I was perfectly healthy. She was just loading me up with medicine to subside the symptoms instead of getting to the bottom of the cause. It took her a whole month to send my medication to the pharmacy. I felt very ignored by her and like she didn’t take me seriously. I recently went to another doctor and did an ultrasound and was told I need to get surgery to get my gallbladder out after Laura told me nothing was wrong.
I was referred to Dr Laura hamad from my PCP after having been in the hospital twice due to gi issues. During my initial meeting with her, she talked about possibly putting me on meds for my ibs and never fully examined me which I didn’t like especially since I was having pain. No bedside manner. She acted like she wasn’t interested in my symptoms nor seemed to care. She recommended a colonoscopy to see what is going on. I didn’t like the idea of her doing it but just wanted to get the colonoscopy over and done with. Never had it done however due to insurance reasons and went through the fasting and prep for nothing. No call from Dr Hamads office or st joes saying my insurance denied the procedure. But in the end, I’m glad it never happened due to my instincts and the reviews I read. I’m in the process of finding another gi dr.
Went to dr hamad .. have had ibs w chronic constipation for years now and she changed my meds around a few times to see if other things would work and of course they didn’t .. so she told me she didn’t know what to do for me her being a doctor and not having any answers I found another gi doctor and recently had a colonoscopy which come to find out I have narrowing of the sign of colon which is why I can’t use the bathroom if she would of taking some time and did her job maybe she would of found that out
Dr. Laura Hamad is a down to earth doctor who's only concern is to get you back to health. Love her bed side manor. She got me through a very difficult time. Thank you
Horrible horrible experience I’ve never been asked such off track personal questions a very inappropriate question was asked. Hence the 2 star review I noticed after our visit, if you are an interracial couple stay far away from this doctor and her off subject comments both my husband and I feel she did not take my husbands symptoms seriously she didn’t even want to do a check up she didn’t physically check him at all no stethoscope no touching his stomach to see if he was having pain nothing she stayed a distance and only gave suggestions . I love my husband and care deeply about the service he receives I believe we deserved to be treated like every other patient no matter our race this was a terrible experience, we were there for a serious issue, and she was more concerned about how I met my husband leading to an uncomfortable personal conversation about race and religion. Which in my eyes is not GI related. Check your reviews prior to scheduling with new providers and please don’t be scared to speak up if you feel something is not right.
The best doctor. Very professional and knowledgeable. Schedule my appointment immediately and took care of me the best.
I was admitted to Silver Cross Hospital earlier this month with vomiting blood, abdominal pain, and severe diarrhea. My primary doctor referred me to Dr. Laura Hamad. She is absolutely delightful. She took excellent care of me. After my procedures she would always talk to me and answer my questions and concerns. She or her PA visited me everyday I was in hospital.I highly recommend her to anyone who needs a competent and compassionate GI specialist.
Dr Hamad lied to me and performed an unnecessary procedure that ended up costing me $1500 to reconfirm a prior diagnosis. Then did nothing to treat the problem. This entire office is full of thieves and grifters.
Performs unnecessary procedures then overcharges Dr Hamad refused to treat me without reconfirming my diagnosis with a colonoscopy, then charged me for a diagnostic procedure. As a result my insurance charged me almost $2000. When I explained that if they recorded the procedure as a screening since it was just a confirmation, they refused. I would have never undergone any treatment had any of this been explained prior. I will never deal with this office again.
Did my colonoscopy and very helpful I had come in for stomach pain that has had pain for a few months finally got a colonoscopy and she was very helpful of trying to find what is wrong and they didn’t find anything but that is good

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
