David Walner's Online Review Report Card

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. The reception team is typically the frontline and says a lot about the entire facility. Upon calling with a medical emergency for a 5 year old that the ER could not assist with, I was told by the receptionist (after explaining all of this), without hesitation, i.e. looking at scheduling, "We are booked out for up to 6 weeks. Maybe you should go to urgent care." After I reiterated that I had just spent the night in the ER with my 5 year old, the woman put me on an 8 minute hold. She returned to the phone with a tone, saying that there was an opening on February 26th. Aka almost 2 months away. I said let me ask you this, if you were in a medical emergency would you be able to wait until February 26th? She played stupid and said I'm sorry that's all we have available. I told her she knew what she was doing and it was 8 a.m. (they just opened) and she better check herself if she was thinking about continuing the day that way as no one should be treated that way. She then apologized and asked if I wanted to be put on a cancelation call list. I responded no thank you. Why even answer the phone? There is a first time for everything and this was a terrible experience especially in an emergency situation. I would not want any child or family member to have to deal with this woman.

Dr Walner is absolutely wonderful. He is professional, efficient and caring. He sees the deeper picture and always offers the most comprehensive advice possible. He takes time to listen and always tries to understand the roots of the symptoms and how they affect and most importantly potentially could improve/deteriorate the health of our child. We are lucky to have our daughter as his patient. We wish all doctors we met were like Dr Walner!

Dr. Walner is to the point and strategic. We saw him before the Chicago office closed. He was able to remove ear wax from my son’s ear during his first appointment. He asked critical questions, was focused, and provided next steps.

I’ve always really enjoyed our visits with Dr. Walner. We did not have to wait long at all, they were very informative, friendly, never felt rushed. We enjoyed the practice so much we switched to their office which is 30 minutes away to do audiology testing because I trust them so much and valued his feedback. Going to their practice for a hearing test meant we would be able to confer with the doctor right away about the results which is invaluable.

The women who performed the hearing test on my son was great very nice and very friendly with my son and i. The doctor, Dr. walner was very short with us, unfriendly and i was really wondering how he worked with children. One of the front staff women was friendly the other one got annoyed when i asked for a copy of my sons hearing test. Overall i probably would not go back to this location if i ever needed expertise of am ENT.

Dr Walner is very caring and took the time to listen to my concerns. He conveys great expertise and compassion. Highly recommend.

Dr. Walner is very knowledgeable and explains things well when we have a question or concern. He is thorough, and makes sure my child is getting the care he needs. However, the Hoffman estates clerical staff needs some help. I never got a confirmation call, which resulted in information missed that was needed for my appointment. When checking out, the lady seemed to not care about my needs, and almost charged me more than my copay because she never checked her notes or our information. Clerical staff was not helpful, and almost rude or short when checking in and checking out.

Mi experiencia con el doctor David Walner fue de lo mejor mi niño tenía 5 años con un problema en su nariz y ya lo avia llevado con ortos especialista. Y nada ya no allava que aser. Me en contré al doctor Walner y en un mes Mi niño esta muchísimo mejor. mil gracias doctor uste si save aser su trabajo usted es el mejor especialista el mejor le agradezco mucho lo que a echo por mi niño

I found him to be arrogant and dismissive. Left the practice bc of my experience with him. Had been with the practice for almost 10 yrs.

He took me right on time, was very professional, answered all of my questions and performed the procedure perfectly.
