North Branch Dermatology's Online Review Report Card

HORRIBLE! NO HEALTHCARE HERE! Because my insurance was out of their network they would not book an appointment----even when I would pay out of pocket!!! My Insurance has a large deductible which I would have to pay anyway! WTF!!!??

Oh my God what a great experience I had today for my first visit with Dr Jaros I highly recommend them they really know their business and know how to diagnose a skin problem I would highly recommend them to anyone thank you again North Branch and Dr Jaros

Went in to get a refill approved with Olshanksy because they wouldn't approve via pharma request or over phone. My appointment lasted about a minute and Olshanksy said 'we have no problem prescribing this it's a very mild prescription'. So I imagine I could have had this prescription approved without the $X visit. Unfortunately for me, they prescribed the wrong refill. After numerous attempts to reach the office, be prepared to never get a hold of the office by phone. Still no prescription and a hefty bill later. ---- My first visit was more pleasant overall. The staff is kind, drs helpful and listen, and the office is very clean. But I was left to deal with a billing discrepancy for months, again, not able to reach anyone by phone to resolve.

I had seen Dr. Jarvos. She is fantastic. I went to three doctors previuosly to clear up a rash on my leg to no avail. Dr. Jarvos gave me a cream which cleared it up immediately. I then needed a small cyst removed from face which needed a stich. Impossible to see! She should be a plastic surgeon. Dr. Jarvos and her assistant are young with great attitudes and spend time to listen an consult with you. I could not be more pleased!

I usually see Katie. She is amazing, patient and thorough. The support staff is friendly and returns my calls. I highly recommend this practice.

When the doctor is away the mice play at the expense of patients

I went to see Dr. Bonis, a supposed Dermatologist, at the suggestion of my rheumatologist, (Dr. G. Fahrenbach) due to my hair loss, caused by my lupus. (Northbranch Dermatology on Milwaukee Ave in Niles, Illinois) who is right across the aisle. I'll tell you right now why NOT to go there, Ever!! And before I explain what happened ; I highly recommend that anyone that thinks about going to see Dr. Bonis, to run... run away fast! I visited with her for probably 15-20 minutes and explained to her about the hair loss and rash that I was experiencing as well as mentioning being caused by my lupus. They send me a bill for $450... So I reached out to my insurance company once I found out that the billing wasn't being covered. They explained to me that the coding was the reason. The so-called Dr. Bonis coded it to state that it was general hair loss from alopecia... Completely ignoring that I had lupus and that my Rheumatologist diagnosed me with it! I call my insurance company and ask them to intervene; which they did numerous times in regards to the coding, but Dr. Bonis' office refused to adjust the code! Do you get what I'm saying???!!! They could be paid immediately, if they change the code to state that the symptoms I was having was due to my lupus....but they'd rather not!!! Who does that?! I'll tell you who North Branch(Northbranch Dermatology on Milwaukee Ave in Niles Illinois), that's who! Not the brightest crayon in the box. So I leave three messages at the office with no return calls. Then I request being forwarded to the office manager, and they forward me to her voicemail. No callback from her either.. Surprise, surprise. So then I asked the very rude, unprofessional child, the office manager, to have Dr. Bonis call me back... And she tells me "the doctor will never call you." Alrighty, then thank you for caring! So I asked Dr. Fahrenbach, my rheumatologist, ( you know the guy Qualified to diagnose me with lupus), to please send a script to her stating that my hair loss is from lupus...He did so.... But NO, that's not good enough, evidently; because Dr. Bonis obviously must think that she knows more about rheumatological issues than my own Rheumatologist!! She won't change the code because she feels it is generalized hair loss, instead of lupus! So she's not changing the code. This woman never even looked at my scalp. Since when does this dermatologist get to trump my rheumatologists diagnosis?! NO MA'AM, THINK AGAIN! So then I received my second billing request from them for the $450 and I sent a certified letter back to them stating that this is in dispute, and since I can't talk to mature adult without getting yelled at about this topic, I will not be contacting their office again via phone and I will not be paying the said amount; Because my insurance would cover, it if they'd adjust change the code. Today I received a collection notice from CMG. No surprise there and it doesn't change a thing on my end, you're either gonna get paid through my insurance or not at all. Not the brightest Crayons in the box None of this makes sense to me! You can get paid immediately through my insurance, by adjusting code... Which lupus was verified by my rheumatologist....so Why go in this direction instead? All I'm telling you is to stay VERY VERY clear of this office! Something is not right here! And if you choose to go there, you better be asking a lot of questions BEFORE your visit, because AFTER YOUR VISIT, THE DAMAGE IS DONE, WHETHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT! They are completely rude, unprofessional and uncooperative! NEVER AGAIN! And when The office manager starts screaming at you hang up on her like I did...3 times... . And last, but not least....Lawyer up folks!

Been twice for skin cancer removal. Very professional and caring. See nurse practitioner for quicker appointment

Dr.jaros is a wonderful professional dermatologist. My first visit at North branch. Had several lesions removed.im looking forward to my next visit in 2024 Thank you dr.jaros
