List of Robert M. Joseph's Reviews
Dr. Joseph is awesome! He was my second opinion for a foot injury that my first podiatrist had misdiagnosed. Dr. J correctly determined the true nature of the injury just from a physical examination, which was immediately confirmed by x-ray and MRI. He is a skilled doctor who pays close attention to his patients. He performed a quick and easy surgery on my anterior talofibral ligament to get me back on my feet. Recovery has been faster than I expected. I was walking without a boot 4 weeks after the surgery. My healing process is still ongoing, but Dr. J made me a custom orthotic to account for differences in leg length that were contributing to my problems - another factor to my injury that my first doctor failed to notice. Today I am mostly pain-free at 6 weeks post-op, after many months of frustrating chronic foot pain. He and his staff always promptly answered my questions and returned my calls.Highest recommendation for Dr. Joseph and his highly-competent and caring staff.
Dr. Joseph is the most knowledgeable, caring doctor. He recently ( less than 3 weeks ago) did a surgery on my left foot, and after several months of pain and discomfort, I'm finally pain free. He knows what he is doing, and he is the BEST. On top of being such an incredible, doctor, he is also very caring. I trust him very much and I highly recommend him. Thank you so much Dr. Joseph for fixing my foot.
Highly recommend Dr.Robert Joseph very outgoing and straight to the point. Best doctor in Southern California for sure.
Dr Robert Joseph IS outstanding! I had been seen and/or treated by four (4) prior podiatrists all of whom had the "deer in the headlights" look when I shared my symptoms and pain. Yes - they ALL had NO CLUE. Dr. Joseph was PODIATRIST #5. His first words . . . "Hello Jeff, so what's the problem?" I gave him my best description. Absolutely NO " deer in the headlights " with him. He shared his opinion and prognosis based upon my description . . . confidently! He has been outstanding and thankful for the fortuitous way in which he became #5. My pain - has felt like having a pencil in my shoes under my toes . . . for about 8 years . . . All the time . . . Shoes on or off. He is outstanding and an excellent doctor. . . Procedure/ surgery just done. Recovery in process and other foot in January. I give him the highest marks possible and strongly recommend him . . . HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Thanks Doc! See you in 2 weeks!!!
Dr. Joseph gave me good advice and listened to all of my concerns. I highly recommend him. He is a kind, caring, and compassionate doctor with a great bedside manner.
I have been seeing Dr. Joseph since about 2014. He has done a few necessary surgeries as well as many other issues that have come up with my feet over the years. Every result I have had has been completely perfect. I previously had struggled with some other doctors who were not resolving things in a way that left me healed. Dr. Joseph so far has been able not only to successfully resolve each issue, but also educates in better overall foot health. I will see no other podiatrist.
I have never done a review for anyone, however I think I owe it to myself and to other patients to warn you about Dr. Robert Joseph. He is such a scatter brain, flip flop and rude doctor.I saw Dr. Joseph in May of 2021 for discoloration of my toe nail thinking that it would be a fungal infection. His diagnosis was that I DO NOT have a fungal infection and there is a bony overgrowth on my toe which he would be able to remove with a simple procedure called 'Subungual Exostosis'. He also assured me that my toe will look and feel normal after a few months with no further treatment. After waiting for a year I didn't notice any difference in my toe and when I went to see him again he told me that as a result of the bone overgrowth I also have fungal infection which should have been treated right after the procedure!!! Keep in mind that when I saw him first he claimed that there is no fungus infection and the procedure would cure the problem. Not only did he misdiagnose me but he also forgot to put me on anti fungus medication. Finally, after being on medication for 6 months and still not seeing any change in my toe nail, I contacted him again. He got mad at me and started being very rude and insulting. In conclusion, after a year and a half of having a procedure and being on fungus medication for 6 months (and paying unnecessary expenses) my toe nail is still the same. I have an appointment to see another doctor soon.
Beware. This doctor is not trustworthy. It was a cringe experience. I went in for pain in my heal. The doctor incorrectly diagnosed the problem very quickly by wiggling my feet and ankles. He was rushing and suggested 2 surgeries to strengthen my ankle and rebuild my Achilles tendon... after talking to me for only 2 minutes... I can see how this might confuse people. To me it was manipulative. I got an MRI, went back and he still suggested the surgeries again. One of them was not covered by my insurance because it's a proprietary technique. He never sat down to look at the MRI or explain anything to be besides referencing a printed 8.5 by 11 report written by the MRI lab. He was moving fast with all these suggestions and it gave me an extremely uneasy feeling. I got a second opinion at Cedar Sinai where an actual doctor (not a surgery salesman) took the time and explained a bone spur was occurring and my tendon and ankle were fine. I went to physical therapy and the pain has not returned in months.
I have had two INCREDIBLE feet surgery experiences with doctor Robert Joseph He is PROFESSIONAL, CARRYING & does a PRISTINE job, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM with his outstanding staff and professional facilities A+ SERVICE
Dr Joseph by far the best podiatrist in the business (I've seen many). Caring, funny and straight to business. I would definitely recommend seeing him for any foot problems.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
