Sports Acupuncturist's Online Review Report Card

After a minor car accident I was searching for an acupuncturist to help with leg pains. A google search led me to Sports Acupuncturist & Lijana. I chose to reach out because the link to sports, as I was unable to play hockey, or ride my bike, or run. On my initial assessment appointment Lijana inquired about any other pain I was experiencing, even if it was not related to the accident. I commented that my lower back has been painful for years (ok decades...geez I am old) and immediately responded that my pelvis was out of alignment. She has successfully addressed the leg pain from the accident, and with her help and training focused on the lower back I feel better than I have in a long, long time. I was impressed that she was able to quickly ascertain the issue, and prescribe a path to feeling better enough to get back to my activities and living without consistent pain. I look forward to continuing seeing her for any future issues and maintenance. Thank you!

Dr. Shestopal is super knowledgeable and informative. I love her approach of educating clients and trying to prevent future injuries. I was initially interested in acupuncture for back pain. Acupuncture has definitely helped with that but I love the flexibility of being able to treat other things as they come up as well. I always look forward to my sessions as they help bring both my mind and body back into balance. I’ve been going to Sports Acupuncturist for a couple of months now and I’ve had an amazing experience every time!

I had a wonderful experience with Laura at Sports Acupuncturist. I recently injured my rotator cuff that limited my mobility and affected my daily life. Based on the recommendations of Dr. Shestopal, I decided to give myofascial treatment a try. Upon meeting with Laura, she assessed and determined the root cause of the issue. As I had no prior experience with myofascial treatment, she patiently explained to me what to expect and how I could work with her during the treatment. Throughout the treatment, I could immediately tell Laura absolutely knew her craft. She was accurate, decisive, and confident. I knew I was in good hands. After the treatment, I could really feel the improvement. The pain was lessened, and my mobility was much, much improved. It actually took me a while to process how much I had improved. I was referred by a friend at my local fitness center; I had never considered acupuncture as a curative tool for joint injury. After consulting with my PT and orthopedic who were supportive, I reached out Lijana to set my appointment. Entering as a skeptic she made me comfortable with her knowledge of anatomy and my issues. treatment began. My issues are much improved and I credit much of this to Lijana. I highly recommend others consider and give this a try for persistent joint pain. Also the treatment is super relaxing.

I’m so grateful I found Dr Justina, she is so compassionate and engaged , I end up feeling SO much better every time I go to see her.
