List of Kindred Hospital Chicago Northlake's Reviews
Every staff member was endearing and provided a caring and supportive experience.
Everyone is this hospital is very nice and caring. They are constantly checking to make sure the patient is ok and not needing anything.Love this place for my fathers recovery
What a wonderful place for care, I was just amazed by the quality of care I was getting and could not be happier the staff the nurses and Doctors all have great bedside manners. I was never in need of anything someone was always there to help me.I would recommend Kindred Hospital to everyone who need some special care.I also had a greatRehabilitation team who all did there jobs and were so incourageing to me .
My son was transferred to Kindred North Lake Hospital to receive rehabilitation after receiving acute medical care at a hospital in Indiana, I must admit, I was very skeptical about him being transferred to this hospital, because I never heard of this hospital before. I am so happy my son received medical care at Kindred, NothLake. The entire staff were friendly, welcoming, professional and my son received the excellent care he needed. The medical staff took time to explain every procedure and answer each question. They took time to keep family updated about my son's progress. This hospital is a hidden gem. No, I am not paid for this, I just believe that you should give credit when it is due.
Wound care team nurses, pt staff was awesome with better results very professional
My father was in and out of a lot of places and this one was one of the better. I got regular updates from the doctors and nurses without having to reach out to them first. Which is unheard of. The staff were all super friendly even the ones who weren’t assigned to him. I would definitely recommend.
Maria Aguilera went above and beyond to make comfortable. The wond care team Yemeni and Elizabeth are fantastic people and are very good at what thay do.the physical therapy people etson carreto and his partner gino are very good at what thay do and are great guys.i strongly recommend this hospital. The whole staff is awdom
I had a great visit. Everyone was friendly and helpful each time I was there, and I visited four times. My family member received excellent care at Kindred Hospital!
My husband was a patient at Kindred for 18 days in December of 2021. I was incredibly disappointed with the lack of care planning done for him, as well as the quality of some of the specialists they employ. When my husband left his previous hospital to come to Kindred, he was alert and awake, connected to a ventilator through a tracheotomy. When he was arrived at Kindred, he was in some distress, so he was sedated. The problem was that as the days went on and he was continually unresponsive, no one seemed concerned about it, no rehab/ treatment plan was ever initiated, and I had to be the one to demand a neurological exam after 6 days of this to see what was going on. The Patient Care Coordinator ironically didn't seem to know that no specific PLAN was ever put into place to figure out what was happening. The "STAT" order after his EEG took 72 hours before I finally received results. Totally unacceptable. Results showed extensive neurological damage. The day I took him off of life support, the respiratory therapist came and disconnected his equipment, never telling me anything about what to expect. After my husband passed 3 hours later and I left his room, not one person said anything to me on my way out. I have never received a follow up phone call or email to express condolences or anything else after a disappointing 18 days at this facility. What a disappointment. I would never recommend this facility to anyone after this experience.
My husband was unfortunately sent to Kindred North from Rush Hospital in order to wean off his ventilator. The stench of feces immediately hits you when you walk in. The rooms are filthy, dark and In much need of cleaning, paint and updates. The staff (with a few exceptions) are absolutely useless. Trying to get help with a bed pan was a constant struggle. The food was inedible, the medical care non existent and the overall attitude was don't bother us. I honestly don't know how this place hasn't been shut down.Luckily he quickly came off the ventilator and we escaped after only 8 days. When we got to the new Acute Rehabilitation facility he was giving a complete check up. They found his Trache tube had so much buildup from not being cleaned the entire time at Kindred that it was pushing it to the side. He had a horrible rash on his body along with some sores. The reports forwarded on were so in accurate that they basically ignored them and we started from scratch.I guarantee that the people who own abs operate these facilities would never want anyone they loved to be placed there. Stay away for your loved ones safety and health.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
