Everyone is super nice and competent!

RMI is THE BEST place someone on assisted fertility journey can find! Dr T was recommended to me by a friend who was scarred by doctors playing god, having no compassion and selling procedures that don’t bring results. This friend ended up having her 2 children here and had nothing but great things to say. My primary doctor was Dr T, though I worked with 2 others and all were amazing. Medical Staff is outstanding - from nurses to anesthesia - I felt enveloped in comfort and care, everyone is attentive, professional, great sense of humor where it’s welcome, so uplifting and comforting. Special shout out to Terry Ryan - what an amazing caring human who makes you feel just so comforted and cared for! Loving is maybe not a word one would use in a medical setting, but I felt so at ease and loved and cared for that this word seems just right when referring to. The accounting and front office are also great (which is rare!) - pleasant, courteous and responsive. Dr T is simply spectacular at what she does. And she does it as a calling. The loving words that she found for eggs and how honest and caring she is - such people are a rare find. I heard from women that egg retrieval could be a painful procedure, with serous cramps afterwards that require painkillers. I never felt any pain and may slight cramping. Never had to take painkillers post op. I heard from others who work with Dr T that she has magic touch and this was my experience as well. Throughout my work with RMI I was accommodated and well taken care of. I read some of the reviews and find it unfair to criticize the office for a physician to be late for a phone consult. With a priority of a physician going to procedures, I only think it’s expected that consults have to take a second seat. I also saw reviews stating that office is too financially driven. I found the opposite - where Dr T gave me advice that was not beneficial to RMI financially. I cannot recommend this office enough - I feel very lucky to have found them right away.

I had an amazing experience with RMI, ending in a successful pregnancy. From Dr. Nayak, to her incredible team of nurses, to the lovely receptionist at Oak Brook (shoutout to Lily), you feel cared for and safe. The nurses I worked with always got back to me quickly and never made me feel stupid for asking a question, you can tell they have compassion and are used to the high emotions that run throughout this process. Lastly, and maybe most important for someone who has struggled around body image, no one at this clinic ever recommended weight loss or commented on my weight. With that being said this is also a safe place for higher weight patients, or those who are managing or recovering from an eating disorder. I highly recommend this practice, for the top notch quality treatment and the genuine kindness of all the people who work here.

I’m sharing my experience after deciding to leave this reproductive clinic and continue care elsewhere. While I’m grateful for some of the support and guidance we received, our overall experience—especially during the FET process—was deeply disappointing. The procedure and care provided that day felt unprofessional and, in my opinion, not conducted in a clinically safe manner. I was placed in a consult room for my morning prep and discharge. The room contained old office equipment, visible debris, and even spider webs. When I questioned why I was placed there, I was told it was not a consult room, despite the emergency evacuation plan on the door clearly labeling it as such. After the procedure, I was brought back to this same room to get dressed and had to walk past the reception and waiting area while wearing only a gown. Being in a non-clinical space with furniture like a table and velvet chairs felt unsanitary, especially after undergoing a procedure involving my cervix. I raised these concerns with management. While they apologized, there was no clear explanation or reassurance about how this would be addressed for future patients. Given the cost of care, I expected a much higher standard of professionalism and safety. Communication was another major challenge. After two failed transfers and multiple SIS procedures, we would have appreciated direct conversations with the physician about next steps rather than receiving updates through nursing staff. These were critical moments in our journey, and more personalized communication would have made a meaningful difference. In total, I only spoke directly with my doctor about three times ( I've been a patient there for 3 years). Our experience with the billing department added further frustration. We were often billed with little notice and without clear communication about upcoming charges. At times, we were told that treatment could be paused if payment was not made immediately—even while actively on medication. While cost itself was not the issue, the way billing was handled felt stressful and, at times, impersonal. Most concerning was the lack of transparency. Certain “lab fees” were billed directly to us rather than through insurance, with the explanation that insurance would not cover them. However, no one could clearly explain what these charges actually included. When I asked for clarification or an itemized breakdown, I was met with vague responses and, at times, dismissive or unprofessional communication. Fertility journeys are deeply personal and emotional, and we had hoped for a more supportive, communicative, and professional experience. Unfortunately, that was not the case for us. Dr Ahmad is a nice woman and great when you do get to talk to her. Just not nice enough to deal with the rest of the BS associated with this practice.

After being transferred to book an appointment i was on hold for a while before an african american woman picked up the phone and was clearly saying to her colleague “these phones wont stop ringing” before she proceeded to hang up in my face. I work in healthcare and my job is 99% answering phones for the entire 8 hour shift. I’ve never done this and mind you Im only dealing with people asking about their medication, not actual patients who are trying to conceive. How disgusting do you have to be to hang up in the face of someone trying to book an appointment in order to be one step closer to maybe having a child one day. If you don’t like your job just quit. Disgusting behavior. (Patty was nice though)

Excellent service. English is my second language, and I never had any communication problems. They always offered me a translator and/or the option to speak with someone in Spanish. I felt supported at all times, and they were always attentive to me throughout the entire process. Dr. Ahmad, the nurses who work with her (Natalie McGann, Evelyn Mogielnicki and Elizabeth Denisenko), and Lilly at the front desk are compassionate and extraordinary people.

Truly an amazing staff all around rather it was at the Skokie office or Oakbrook. I always felt comfortable and they were easy to talk to when making small talk. If it wasn’t for RMI and Dr. Nayak, I wouldn’t be in the position I am now. There was a part of me that had lost hope, after two unsuccessful IVF cycles, but with Dr. Nayak and her team, we figured out a plan, she listen to my concerns and I can now say we are expecting a little miracle in the fall. From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU for giving me hope again.

I debated posting this for so long. I began my IVF journey with dr Reinhart in 2017. He was wonderful. We had to freeze our embryos due to career changes and returned in 2021 with Dr Rana. Dr Rana was amazing and had a successful pregnancy without a hitch. He was so comforting, caring and understanding. He took his time to listen to us and was extremely helpful as they were still strict Covid protocols in place during this time. I returned again in 2023 for another transfer, during that time Dr Rana unfortunately passed and I was handed off to Dr Victoria. She was dismissive from the start. After a few surgeries that she related I need for a "successful" transfer were completed we had an unsuccessful transfer. We had 1 embryo left but decide to do another egg retrieval. We had another transfer which thankfully was successful but not uneventful . During this time I had heavy bleeding and I kept calling the office and the nurse Sophia and Dr Victoria were very dismissive saying that it was implantation bleeding. Mind you I was soaking through pads. This went on for 8 weeks. On what was supposed to be my last appointment before handing me over to by obgyn I walked into the building and I felt like was bleeding heavier then usual. I was. I went into the office and told the front desk and I was escorted into a room I laid there beeping for 10-15 mins. My husband and I thought we miscarried. Dr Victoria walked and immediately says she so sorry and these things happen. The ultrasound tech also came in with her and performed an ultrasound. On the screen we see the baby and heart beat. I was then diagnosed with subchorionic hematomas. I could've been diagnosis earlier if they would have listen when I told them continuously about the bleeding. Nurse Sophia called me the following day and asked me to increase my progesterone when I asked why, her response in the most snarkiest tone was, "well cause your bleeding." I understand that but maybe a clinical explanation as to how it would helped would have been wonderful. I stayed another week and at this point I began to have morning sickness. We discussed options and I expressed my concerns with Zofran. She looks at me, throws her hands up in the air and says, "another one." I just went through something traumatic so yes I would be very concerned. She had this dismissive behavior during the entire time I was there. I couldn't wait to be discharged from that office. I hope this helps anyone is going through fertility issues so you don't have to be more stressed during an already stressful time. I'm grateful for my two children but the way I was talked to and how I was made to feel was uncalled for.
