List of Advocate Medical Group Gynecologic Oncology's Reviews
This group of doctors cared for me through my pregnancy with my daughter and were attentive and receptive of my wants needs and more. Truly the care received was phenomenal I don't think me or my daughter could've found and had better care than we received here.
Advocate Medical has the most excruciating customer service, and I have been to 3 different locations (Pediatrics and General Practitioner offices on Western and 102nd, and the OB/GYN within Christ Hospital), and they have all been terrible and so rude to me as a patient when doing basic things..checking in for appointment, asking general questions. It's absurd to me that you pay so much for healthcare and they can't be respectful and courteous with their patients. I have given up and gone to U of Chicago where they are much more professional and not rude.
Dr. Gordon was horrifying. She was condescending and rude, once she realized I was not going to tolerate her nasty attitude she attempted to adjust her tone, at that point I was uncomfortable and asked to end the appointment as I do not trust her medical judgement. I give the front desk and medical assistant 5 stars! They were friendly and efficient.
The reason for my two star rating is specifically due to the long wait times to manage basic requests such as appointments, changing an appointment, recommendations regarding test results, etc, through the advocate switchboard which apparently is a single receiving center for every single advocate provider. The voice prompts are tedious, time consuming (typically 10-15 minutes) and just so impersonal.
The nurses who answer the phones could seriously stand some training in the use of tact. Repeating yourself when I've already told you why I disagree is dismissive. If you must, at least phrase it in a new way. Saying the exact same thing over and over does nothing to humanize anyone.
As many times I have had to present my insurance card info so that all my tests and surgery can be billed to my insurance. Geesh. And they still billed me. That is so idiotic. Can they not see and look up on the computer and find that all my insurance info was there. Too. Why do they mail out their billing on a day so that I get it on a Saturday so that I got in to hysteria and shock that like I'm supposed to pay for it when it should of went to my insurance company. We I called and had to leave a message on their toll free # and at the local hospital. That I im fricken angry yes I'm calling first thing at 8am too to give a piece of my mind. They have no excuses!
THE BEST OF THE best
Amazing they only have one person to schedule surgery at Advocate Dreyer. Since they’re understaffed they should think about hiring more to help with the workload.
I have been waiting not 1...not 2...but 7 HOURS for the provider I saw today to contact the pharmacy to update my prescription. Between the pharmacy and myself, WE have called the doctor's office, called customer service, left messages, faxed messages AND STILL NO RESPONSE!!!!!!! Needless to say ✌🏾Advocate... #northshorehereIcome #advocatesucks #whatcare #advocateclearlydontcare
Nurse named Lauren is very rude! Having broken 41 broken bones do you think the doctor would call after a staff member being extremely rude, nope! Lauren will over talk you every step of the way, she shows zero compassion and her customer service skills are a 1 on a scale of 1-10. Wow beware because she won’t hesitate to take her bad day out on you!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
