The nurses who answer the phones could seriously stand some training in the use of tact. Repeating yourself when I've already told you why I disagree is dismissive. If you must, at least phrase it in a new way. Saying the exact same thing over and over does nothing to humanize anyone.
As many times I have had to present my insurance card info so that all my tests and surgery can be billed to my insurance. Geesh. And they still billed me. That is so idiotic. Can they not see and look up on the computer and find that all my insurance info was there. Too. Why do they mail out their billing on a day so that I get it on a Saturday so that I got in to hysteria and shock that like I'm supposed to pay for it when it should of went to my insurance company. We I called and had to leave a message on their toll free # and at the local hospital. That I im fricken angry yes I'm calling first thing at 8am too to give a piece of my mind. They have no excuses!
THE BEST OF THE best
Amazing they only have one person to schedule surgery at Advocate Dreyer. Since they’re understaffed they should think about hiring more to help with the workload.
I have been waiting not 1...not 2...but 7 HOURS for the provider I saw today to contact the pharmacy to update my prescription. Between the pharmacy and myself, WE have called the doctor's office, called customer service, left messages, faxed messages AND STILL NO RESPONSE!!!!!!! Needless to say ✌🏾Advocate... #northshorehereIcome #advocatesucks #whatcare #advocateclearlydontcare
Nurse named Lauren is very rude! Having broken 41 broken bones do you think the doctor would call after a staff member being extremely rude, nope! Lauren will over talk you every step of the way, she shows zero compassion and her customer service skills are a 1 on a scale of 1-10. Wow beware because she won’t hesitate to take her bad day out on you!
Scheduled surgery at UIC on 1/8/18 for 2/15/18 found out 2/12/18 that Advocate denied my referral because there were Advocate surgeons that could do the surgery. Problem is that Advocate Surgeons sent me to UIC because of the complexity and delicate nature of my intestines, just like the past 5 times I’ve needed surgery. What looks normal on the surface isn’t if you look at my history. Seven weeks of being in pain and staying in bed waiting for surgery is now going to be prolonged for what? So Advocate can get the money from my insurance? I wonder what the Illinois department of insurance or the Better Business Bureau or maybe the local news media might say about this. I guess we’ll find out.
Better name - Advocate Health Careless. Could care less about patient's health or best interests. They don't listen to patient. They provide misinformation. They don't respond in a timely manner (blaming insurance companies). They don't follow directions from doctors outside the network. 20 days to schedule a MRI at their Barrington facility after fighting outpatient center for over a week on the need when orthopedic surgery necessary ASAP.
2 Stars to the appointment call center. On the phone for over 30 to schedule and appointment!! Had to repeat my self 3 to 4 times. Spell name , spell last name , give phone number again and again... very frustrating to deal with illitated people . If I have spell every word to you and repeat a phone number maybe is time for you to find a new job.
Love ❤️ it! Everything you want in a health club. Super clean. Friendly staff.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
