List of Athletico Physical Therapy - Oak Park North's Reviews
Our son’s OT, Angela was wonderful. She really aided in my son’s recovery and we couldn’t have done it without her support. Not only is she extremely professional and knowledgeable, but she’s a great person too. All the staff is extremely helpful, and my son really enjoyed Leander and Gabe!
I recently was given a home program of physical therapy after several months of therapy at Athletico. First the staff was always greeted me with a warm and welcoming greeting. My physical therapist Sean Capili played a crucial role in helping me with my issues. The treatment he designed was tailored to my specific needs. One of the things I appreciated most was how well he explained each exercise and technique. Sean took the time to educate me on how my body works and the reasons behind the pain I was experiencing. This gave me a sense of trust in the process he described and employed . His knowledge of anatomy and movement, combined with his ability to communicate complex information in a simple, understandable way, made a huge difference in my understanding of my conditions. The treatment sessions were challenging but I saw improvement that kept me coming back, week after week. Sean continuously adjusted the exercises as my strength and mobility improved, ensuring that I never felt stuck or stagnant in my recovery. I especially appreciated the one-on-one attention during each session, which made the experience feel personalized and specific to my needs. What really set him apart, though, was his genuine care and compassion. He listened closely to my concerns and always made me feel heard. There was never a moment where I felt like just another patient. His encouragement and positive reinforcement played a key role in keeping me focused and optimistic throughout the process, even though at times I felt perhaps I was not improving but in fact I was. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with the treatment I received. I left with an understanding of how to maintain my physical health with an at home program. If you’re in need of a physical therapist, I highly recommend Athletico in Oak Park and Sean Capili who is not only knowledgeable but also compassionate and dedicated.
Watch out for this place! Somehow, they billed my insurance $585/45 minute visit while the self insured rate would be $150. My insurance covered $351, leaving me to pay the remaining $233 - more than the self insured rate. Also, they say they provide a free first exam, but that just applies to the first three minute conversation you have. Watch out for this place!
I worked with Jim for 3 months to rehab my ankle and he was great. He was very intelligent, enthusiastic, and a pleasure to be around. He very much cared about your well being and recovery progress and did a great job of communicating what was going well and how to keep improving. I would definitely recommend Jim to anyone looking to rehab an injury, it is clear he cares deeply about his patients health and recovery.
I had the pleasure of working with Jim for 4 weeks. He pushed me and encouraged me to work hard and make sure I was doing the best job possible for me to achieve my goal of being better. I’m leaving feeling better and it’s thanks to Jim and his passion for his work.
Jim and Jacob were really great to work with!
Angela was phenomenal! So helpful and attentive!
Pivot physical therapy review Incomprehensibly outrageous and racist Physical Therapist Andrew Ingell - August 2024. - Pivot Athletico Hampton Virginia 2106 Executive Drive. First they have had 15 complaints closed in last 3 years, and 7 complaints closed in last 12 months with the Better Business Bureau with whom they are not accredited. Their executive staff at headquarters is completely devoid of diversity. All of them are European Americans, that all by itself suggest institutional racism. I had the misfortune for proper context of being set up on a job site by a former employer who did something that any ordinary individual would have considered retaliating for, and as a result I was profiled by the police and the federal government. I have been in litigation for some time now with them. In that process and in an effort to stifle their losses as a strategy they've initiated a pattern of harassment in an effort to compel me to self-destruct and have failed horribly and left a clear pattern of their racist criminal activities. They've used members of the community as instruments and tools to facilitate their purposes of harassing me while tracking me. Further with a clarity they have perpetrated tortious interference in my medical care foolishly. They've used pivot physical therapy in Hampton Virginia on two separate occasions throughout the years to do so while in litigation as a strategy. Most notably recently during the month of August 2024 they used physical therapist Andrew Ingell and I am sure that they felt real snug in recruiting him to be one of their tools. My guess is, he has as far as his employer is concerned a good reputation, beyond the fact that he's a European American and one of their pet Stars, that's how they function when the racism is institutionalized. They premise it upon appearances, as opposed to literal facts and my proof, which was incomprehensibly foolish. In the process of him providing me with contractual services for physical therapy, in a crisis in my life with that facility supposedly being a place of healing they used him to perpetrate injury and colored it with racism which is outrageous. The best part is, my proof is crystal clear which lends itself to the foolishness of his supervisors and the people who used him as a tool. He should be fired. I'll be filing a complaint with the department of Justice civil rights division, the attorney general's office for the Commonwealth of Virginia civil rights division, a complaint against his license with the department of health licensing and enforcement divisions for the Commonwealth of Virginia, the better Business bureau, and his corporation. Anyone wanting to review the proof can contact me. As a result, out of the eight sessions that my insurance covered I've used four and now I am exercising at home so as not to be subjected to their outrageous harassment, acts of provocation and racism. Cindy is the best, bring your shoulders and knees and all things you need fixed. Bring them to Cindy and her beautiful group of young people.

Her positive attitude and encouragement kept me motivated throughout the process. I can't thank Angela enough for their outstanding care and support. Highly recommend!"
