Their billing department and processes are a dismal failure. I understand the American healthcare system is a mess but Rush goes above and beyond. They are simply unable to work through a claim with my carrier and instead have chosen to move towards submitting my claim to collections. Just today a billing representative told me she will do her best to have my account placed on hold so this doesn't happen. But, "no guarantees". Huh? So I have to pay $820 to preserve my credit on the hopes that someday they might actually make me whole? The harmful stress Rush places on patients often exceeds the value of their treatments. To them it's all about the money. Patient welfare comes a distant last.

They have you waiting in the emergency room for hours even if it’s a life or death situation I literally set in the waiting room for 10 hours they kept telling me 30 mins but they never came literally walked out the hospital in really bad pain

Briahna (hopefully I spelt it right) was a wonderful nurse. Her bedside manners are very good! We need more nurses like her. She took good care of my mother after her surgery and we were very pleased by her skills. She was patient with us and very adorable! Also another nurse Juana in the surgery floor or seventh floor was good! Very nice and patient. Please don’t forget to give a special thanks to these two wonderful nurses for their outstanding service! They deserve more and more in their careers! However, one white lady was rude at the front desk. I asked if they can fix the ventilator in the waiting because it was super cold and said “I can’t do anything about . I’ll call maintenance and see if they can fix it. “ but she pretended to call them. Not sure if she was having a rough morning or what not but she needs to work on her compassionate skills. Nurses get a 5 star front desk lady 0 stars

The Dr's and nurses here were amazing. Everyone was so nice and respectful. Came in through the emergency room and got admitted to have surgery to remove my gallbladder. It was my first surgery and they did a great job of reassuring me. I also was up front about being a person in recovery and not once did I feel judged. If I ever have to go to the hospital again I will come back here. Thank you Rush!

Group of homeless people taking up space in emergency room, eating hanging out, watching TV., security did not ask them to leave, he even said one guy was there last night

Worse ER I have ever went to, I brung my 8 year old daughter here at 1:15pm & she didn’t see a doctor till 8:30p. People was waiting for over 5 or 6 hours with major emergency and the staff was taking they time, nobody gave ETAs nobody apologized or came with an explanation as if they staff don’t even care! Didn’t leave that place till 10pm going on 11pm and and got here at 1pm that is not an emergency room and that is ridiculous if they are understaffed they need to shut it down till other wise it’s a cry for disaster! Very unprofessional & unorganized!

Took my mom to oak park rush she was hurting so bad she couldn’t walked she failed and hurt her hip !!! Sitting in the ER my mom was crying 😭 she hurting I ask for the nurse she came out to say she have to wait and couldn’t give her no pain medication because she was in the waiting room!!! Now remind u my mom 73 years old sat in the waiting room for 5 hours so I left took my mom home it’s so sad these hospitals don’t care any more
