Wonderful doctor with an amazing bedside manner.

My eldest has been seeing Dr. Khan for over ten years, and two of my other children see her as well. I know that she is extremely dedicated to her patients. She is no-nonsense, but that's because she generally knows what she's talking about. At the same time, she listens to our concerns and talks to my kids directly. She gives us options of medications and explains why she would prescribe each one. The office is a little old-school. For example, they just started electronic billing, the doctors won't fill pharmacy-initiated refills, and they are still doing telehealth for psychiatrist appointments because of covid. Still, Dr. Khan had treated my kids thoughtfully and considered their individual needs. She understands our family history but does not rely on that to jump to conclusions. She may not be for everyone, but I highly recommend giving her a try.

Worst decision I ever made as a parent was to take my son to Christ Hospital ER for anxiety, and letting her evaluate him. She didn't listen to him, cut their evaluation short, then recommend immediate intensive inpatient treatment, and a myriad of meds including antipsychotics. She then threatened to call child protective services when we questioned her diagnosis. All this for a 15yr old having an anxiety attack She has no business working with children. Period. I'm appalled that she is the only child psychologist here.

We requested a full Psych eval. She spent less than 5 minutes talking with our son, about 1/2 hour talking with us, and then recommended a medicine change. This isn't what we had requested, and resulted in a horrible reaction that ended with him in the ER. He is now afraid to work with her again. When asked why she didn't do a full eval she stated that she could tell just by talking to people and didn't have to use official inventories after the first 10 years of her career. Apparently not.

She made everything worse for him destroyed his trust in Healthcare professionals, and fractured our relationship with him BC we thought we were doing the right thing taking him there. She has no business working with children based on our experience. I'm appalled that she is the only child psychologist here, and is allowed to interact with parents and children.

She told my parents when I was 14 that she would send me to a hospital forcing me to take Adderall if I chose not to so she forced me to put something in my body I didn't want.
