List of Barbara Terpstra's Reviews
First appointment was great. I got a lot done during my appointment. Dr and staff was very attentive.
Update January 2022 - I said I wouldn't go back but I had to because they billed my insurance over $1000 for that first disaster of a visit, see my original review below. My insurance wouldn't pay another doctor to do the same exam so I was stuck. All told this doctor billed my insurance $7,000 for the exams and treatments. OUTRAGEOUS! There is no.visible.difference in my varicose veins which is what I went for treatment of. PLEASE consider another doctor if you want your legs to look better.I am so disappointed because their 'on hold' spiel talks about making your varicose veins and spider veins *disappear*. HA! Mine didn't change AT ALL.Original post - June 2021 Warning!!! I'm not sure there is enough room to state everything that was done wrong. I went for a consultation. Was told I would see the doctor, then they would use ultrasound to view the veins in my legs, then I would see the doctor again to discuss treatment. Never saw the doctor before the ultrasound. Technician spent entirely too long on the ultrasound. Different staff came in and took my BP, said it was high! Of course it was high. I was standing on a little platform w/o support for 30+ minutes while two people ran a wand over my legs and squeezed my legs repeatedly! Then she said they needed to ask some questions that weren't on the form that I completed before my appointment. This person asked _all the same questions_ that were on the form! What a waste of time!Doctor came in and spent about 5 minutes with me but never looked at my legs. Some consultation! Left without getting my questions answered. They charged my insurance company $200 for the ultrasound and reported that I have hypertension! I don't have hypertension. I do now because of this visit but it is only temporary. LOL. Gotta find another doctor because I won't be back.
The staff had a good bedside manner and very understanding.
So far so good. They worked with my insurance (Aetna) to determine quirks:. I must use compression stockings for 12 weeks before a procedure will be authorized. So before I left the office the stockings had been ordered and appts for followups and procedures already scheduled.Seamless, even though tedious.
Amazing place! Very professional and quick ❤️
Friendly staff and Dr. Terpstra is awesome. Very thorough and kind!
Great office staff, nice facility, talented doctor
Friendly, professional staff.
Great customer service! Wonderful Social Distancing experience. Dr. Terpstra explained the problem and she provided me with a solution.
Dr terpstra was very nice but I call for a check-up to be informed as of June 1st all offices in Illinois are permanently closed. Are you kidding me? I don't know what to say. So now a different doctor can try to sort out issues from a different practice. Very disappointed at the moment

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
