Vernon J Cooley's Online Review Report Card

Responding for my grandson. It has now been 2 weeks and 3 days since his skiing accident. And a week since his MRI and we still do not have any prognosis. We’re promised a phone call with results on the day following the MRI. NEVER CAME. Then we’re promised results the next business day. NEVER CAME. And the day after. NEVER CAME. And the day after that. NEVER CAME. These included 2 trips to the hospital with promises. We have had excellent care from another physician in this practice but, apparently, Dr. Cooley is either too busy or hopelessly inept. Find another surgeon.

Dr. Cooley is one of the most personable doctors I’ve met. He was very thorough, and explained everything in a very straightforward way. His treatment recommendations were very helpful.

Dr. Cooley is an amazing doctor: great surgeon and really takes your preferences into account. Cares about patients.

I have known Dr. Cooley since he was seven years old. I have referred many of my friends to him and he has done an amazing job. All of them can not say enough good things about Dr. Cooley. You will not find a more personable, talented orthopedic surgeon on the planet.

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Cooley! He explained things well and why we needed to do what we needed to do. (Surgery) He was warm and super positive and I felt comfortable with him right away. I will go to him again in a heartbeat if I need to.

Dr Cooley is fantastic. He’s efficient and very skilled in his craft. I interviewed a few doctorA before getting into Dr. Cooley, for a torn ACL. He was definitely worth the wait and I’m excited to be back at in the next couple of months. If I had to go through it again I would definitely return. I had the hamstring graft medicine has come a long way in just ten years.

Dr. Cooley is a wonderful surgeon but dealing with his office staff in Park City is awful. There is very poor communication. They had us on the surgery schedule before they had an authorization from our insurance, so we were planning on surgery with work off, etc., and then had to cancel it last minute, due to lack of insurance authorization. Our insurance was requiring physical therapy to the knee 1st to see if that would work and the order sent over for physical therapy was so vague that they were working with the wrong joint. So after driving all the way to Park City from Utah County for a pre-op visit and then finding all of this out, we are switching to another orthopedic doctor.

Dr Cooley is awesome--professional, yet personable. Offered good advice, did a great job on my knee, and really liked the entire staff. I highly recommend him! Jeff, Park City, UT--Sept, 2020

I have gone to Dr Cooley for almost 20yrs. I have had numerous surgeries, almost every 2 yrs. He has always treated me as an equal. I have never had so much confidence going to any one doctor as I do when I go to him. I know all the staff by a first name basis, they treat you like family. I would highly recommend this office to anyone, as a matter of fact I have numerous times! I found him 19 years ago after getting 3 other opinions and have never needed other opinions after. I trust him and so should you!

I can't say enough good things about my experience with Dr. Cooley, his assistant Steve, and the entire staff at their clinic at Intermountain. I was originally mis diagnosed by a doctor at Redstone, and when my knee blew up and I could barely walk to started calling knee doctors. Dr. Cooley was able to identify several problems that others missed and scheduled me for surgery. Dr. Cooley spent the time to explain everything to me so I felt comfortable about the whole process. He has an awesome bedside manner. My surgery was in October and December I was hitting the slopes!! If you need surgery, you are in great hands with Dr. Cooley!
