List of Jeffrey Altman, Md's Reviews
Worst experience I had. Never ket me ask a question. Did not perform a full body scan. Was out of office in less than 15 minutes and told me to come back in 2 years. NOT RECOMMENDED!
Worst experience I've ever had at a Dermatologist. Walk in, asked why I was there, showed him, took care of it. I asked some questions, he rushed to answer, then said anything else and I said no. He left the room and onto the next patient. Total time 8min. No bedside manner at all, his peer in the same office Dr. Steven Mandera is polished, listens, takes his time with his patients, etc. Definitely Dr. Altman needs to take time and quit rushing patients. I'll never use this Dermatologist again. I do not recommend.
Husband and I had back to back appts. Me 1:45, 2p.m. my husband. We were both treated in same room together. Not enough time. Full sxan?
Horrible experience. Didn't even take the time to look at my condition and seemed more concerned with selling me their own products. Lady taking payment in the front was rude and vocal about with her attitude when I was seeking direction in regards to follow up etc. I shouldn't have an altercation when trying to get clarity at A DR.'S OFFICE! Couldn't possibly have made it more obvious that I was being rushed. Lady taking insurance info was nice though.
If it wasn't for Dr. Altman taking my rare skin condition seriously and working with my oncologist, I wouldn't be treated at all for it. I have seen three other skin doctors in the past six years, and they have never mentioned any form of treatment.
This is hands down the worst doctor experience I have ever had. This man was explicitly rude, was clear about being in a rush, and did not even wait for me to finish a single sentence before interrupting and launching into his first speech of several. He told me he was going to cut open my face before asking me a single sentence about my recent symptoms. Doctors must have a higher standard of care, period. I asked him to listen to my recent symptoms and treatment history and he became very defensive and began to monologue on his credits. This guy will tell you about his credentials, he will be genuinely mean in a way that is kind of shocking, but he will not listen to your recent symptoms lol. He has personal issues that will be taken out on you, and there's nothing he can offer that can't be offerred by a doctor who will take 2 minutes and listen to their patients. You deserve better than jeffrey altman.
Interrupted me as soon as I started talking and didn't let me tell him my medical situation. After I asked him to listen to my recent symptoms, he got defensive and condescending and listed his credentials at me. He asked explicitly rude questions like "what do you think you need me to hear?" Ultimately I just wanted him to take about 2 minutes to actually listen to what I had been going through, which he eventually did after a very long speech. The procedure was extremely painful and I broke out in full body sweats from the pain. When it was done, he helpfully pointed out that I was "nervous and sweaty" for no clear reason. Long story short, this doctor has personal issues he works out on his patients without even being aware of it, is willing to get aggressive over nothing very quick, and begrudges patients the basic respects they are owed. Would not recommend, you deserve better than this guy! The rest of the staff was excellent.
Bad from start to finish! He was irritated when I told him I needed a full body check, which I had mentioned both when making the appt and to the nurse to asked pre-screening questions. But wasn't given a gown to change into. He then proceeded to use air quotes when describing the main condition I came in for. Said I was to blame even though I've been dealing with it for 10years! He didn't listen to a thing I said and clearly hadn't read any of the information I had in my questionnaire. Then came the full body check, which was laughable. I have family history of skin cancer and had basal cells removed myself. He barely even looked, definitely didn't check my scalp. Considering he's never seen me, a more thorough check should be warranted. Guess he just wants to be a cosmetic injectables doc because he was uninterested in an actual derm issue or full body scan!
Just building upon all the bad reviews, Dr. Altman is not a good doctor. If there's a recall for doctors, he should have one. Bad product. I had my mask off when he came in and had a little bit of scarring from hormonal acne I had, this man marched in and said, "What are you here for? Acne?" in a rushed tone. That was the first thing that he breathed out as soon as he entered in. Only took at a glance of me. It's not right for any ethical doctor to make such rash presumptions, especially that I had booked online and detailed my case, plus his nurses have been taking records of it. He has this condescending look like you're pestering him. I was there for a scalp problem that may be likened to psoriasis. My appointment lasted only about ten minutes and he had the nerve to say out loud that he has been "spending too much time here" when I asked him to look at my scalp as it has been unevenly flaky and spreads out in different areas. I only wanted to tell him the history of my problem and what I'm there for. I couldn't even think of what I needed from him. Just the clinic feels hostile and unwelcoming. He was rushing through everything, and keeps telling me he can't provide a better medication from the one I got from my university doctor when he had a different diagnosis at the end. Did not even bother telling me what it is. He just makes you feel like you should just go home and rot. Anyway, worst doctor. Sorry not sorry.
Entire appointment lasted about 3 Minutes. Was in a hurry and didn’t answer any of my questions.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
