List of Susan L Bank's Reviews
Dr. Bank is in a league of her own. She is brilliant, kind, and knowledgeable, and I recommend her to anyone seeking a psychiatrist.
I have been going to Dr. Bank for many years. She is absolutely one of the best doctors I’ve ever seen. Certainly the best psychiatrist. She is very up to date on psychiatric issues as well as nutrition. Whenever I am with her or have a phone appointment she makes me smile even on my worst days. I am forever grateful for the support, compassion and the patience she has with me……. not always an easy task.
Susan and I have been in the trenches together with my mental health over the past ten years. Through her medical wizardry, she has brought me back from the brink of suicide and insanity on multiple occasions. I'm a graduate of Northwestern University and was distraught over my outcomes with other psychiatrists. I felt like I didn’t suffer through that school to be on disability. Susan is a breath of fresh air. While she isn’t in-network with any insurance company, her prices are reasonable (she's worth every penny), and she will work with your insurance on things like getting your prescriptions covered, provide you with documentation if you have out-of-network coverage, and fill out any sort of job-related paperwork that may be needed. I think it's saying something that she keeps her patient population functioning so well that they can continue to see her, even in the rough times. Unlike so many other psychiatrists, to the best of my knowledge Susan doesn't have patients in long-term care facilities, nursing homes, or regularly in an inpatient setting. We're all contributing members of society and she keeps us that way. As psych patients, I believe that's the most we can ask for: to be indistinguishable from people without mental illness. Susan ensures just that. If there's one thing you should spend a little extra on, it's your health. Take my word for it. Make your mental health a priority with Susan Bank. You'll be happy you did!
I’ve been working with Dr. Bank for 10+ years and have been extremely happy with all aspects of her practice. Dr. Bank goes above and beyond with everything - including dealing with insurance companies, pharmacies, other physicians, company HR departments, etc. all while being available whenever needed. Her staff is also top notch and is excellent at getting things done to help Dr. Bank focus on providing exceptional care.
Dr. Bank has been my doctor for more than 8 years and Dr. Bank has helped me a lot because she is absolutely brilliant, smart, and compassionate doctor. I went to so many different doctors to figure out what was wrong with me but none of those other doctors figured out the cause. But Dr. Bank was the only Doctor who knew what was wrong with me & had the solution to help me get better & stay on that better track.
Dr. Bank is The Best Doctor in the world! And Dr. Bank is one of the smartest and humble doctor.
Dr. Bank has proven to be wonderfully effective in aiding me with the recovery of a small, but noticeable, amount of focus and energy that had dissipated over the years due to age and chronic illness. I've never been sharper. Her staff is very organized and responsive. Extremely knowledgeable, accommodating, and professional office. Highly recommend.
Dr. banks, your impossible to give you a great year of nearly 20 years with you. You are not reading a "script" but talk to me like a person!I had my share of downtown, yet was in fear you would disregard our professional standing, But no, you still stood besides me.Thank You for all your guidance and long support!Rick Skrezyna
Loved it. She is very insightful and helped me a lot.
Dr Banks is great but her assistant/receptionist is rude and arrogant. She speaks very condescendingly. I go there for my depression and Natalie asked me how Im doing. I told her I was having a rough time and she told me I have to realize that Im very fortunate and things really arent that bad. So when did she get her MD license. Wish Dr Bank would get a new receptionist.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
