List of Patrick Oleary's Reviews
Dr. O'Leary is an excellent orthopedic surgeon. He is also a very caring doctor. You won't find a better back doctor in Illinois.
DR Oleary has performed two spinal surgerys for me both the results were nothing short of life changing! I would go to him anytime!
Dr. O’Leary is thorough and took the time to explain the pros and cons of my back surgery. I would highly recommend him to anyone suffering from chronic back pain.
I went to see Dr. O’Leary yesterday for the first time and instantly loved him. He is so compassionate. And kind! I’m glad he’s the one providing my health care. Kudos. Midwest. Orthopedic center for him and all the Dr’s in your practice. My family has never been disappointed! We’re lucky to have all of you in our area!
Very pleased with Dr O'Leary
All personnel were very helpful, nurses and staff. Dr. O'Leary came highly recommended and now I see why, he brings his a-game.
Dr. O’Leary is the epitome of a great, what I consider, as an all star Doctor. He doesn’t leave a leaf unturned in his explanations of expectations of procedures and outcomes. He is personable and easy to converse with.
Spends time with you, you're not a number, you are a person. You don't feel rushed. And he cares .
I had a C3/C4 fusion done on my neck. Dr O’Leary was the best. I had small amount of pain for first 4 hours after I woke up an took 1 pill while in recovery room and then never had another pain pill. He explained everything that he was gonna do and exactly what was gonna happen and how i would feel as far as numbness on my skin and expected pain in the neck area. Explained to me what the expectations were and what the risk was. My C3/C4 was in very bad shape and pushing on my spinal cord and was very concerning to me. I was worried about being paralyzed from the neck down and so many things can happen in a surgery and your life is in the surgeons hands. Dr O’Leary was recommended to me from a person at work who had a back fusion done and was very happy. I can’t say enough about what a great surgeon he is. He tells you like it is and gives you his honest opinion. If you don’t need surgery he is gonna recommend not doing it. He’s not the kind of person that does surgery just for money.
Dr. Oleary is one of the best surgeons around here. Had him since November 2011. I have gotten upset off and on with him. Like I see reviews a very few people are upset with him, and other drs. Big portions of drs. are owned by companies. Drs have to do what they are told and allowed to . Not only by the company but the law and the insurance. Yesterday time from the start to after seeing him was good. Last couple times I've been at Midwest Orthopedic hard to find a seat. At the end of last year 2022. Almost outside the front door to start, xray had to sit in the hallway. That number of people are hard with the drs. With the company they can only be with the patient a certain amount of time. I've had good time talking to them and bad time. He's a GOOD surgeon and 95% as a Dr. and person he's Good Now staff I talk to on the phone is another story. I wish I could do a review on them.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
