I had a apt was told they take my ins. drove 30 min to find out they don't take my ins aggravated.

Dr. Finkelstein explains what he is doing and why. I feel like I get a thorough exam and advice at each appointment.

The girl I had went out of her way to make my visit as pleasant as possible apologizing for the wait and giving me a good experience, making my waiting so long feel worth it.

My son has worn/needed glasses since very young and could be quite difficult and strong willed. Dr. Finkelstein has kept his attention where needed. Could hardly believe how well he handled our son even at 2 yrs old, and got him seeing better. 😃

Took daughter for eye exam was in waiting room for 1.5 hours for a 20 minute exam. They do not carry a selection of glasses and refer you to a website. Don't measure PD. Left my child with dialated eyes for 50 minutes before seen by doctor who we saw for two minutes just to be told yes she does need glasses. Dr doesn't take measurements for the actual prescription the techs do. Waited 10 weeks for an appointment.

I went to this office several times over a couple of years...They are a group of caring well trained and sympathetic doctors and aides..I would recommend them to anyone in Lasalle and neighboring counties...

I had a terrible experience in the Finkelstein Eye Associates. We think our 2.5-year old son might have cross eyes. His pediatrician referred him to the Finkelstein Eye Associates. I called them to make an appointment and confirmed with them especially if they could do the physical exam, i.e. dilation. They told me yes since they even do this to newborns. They had a super busy schedule, and we waited more than a month before our appointment. We waited about half hour before we saw the doctor, a middle age guy probably called Fokes. He checked my son's eyes simply and then decided to do dilation. Then we waited more than 30 minutes after they gave my son eye drops. The nurses took my son to an equipment and asked him to put his chin on the platform. My son obviously does not know how. They nurses gave up after 1 minute. Then they asked us to wait for 10 minutes before the doctor could come. But we actually wait about 40 minutes. The doctor looked very tired when he showed up. He tried to let my son look at some light through a glass. My son is not used to looking this way. The doctor casually tried 4 times, and then I told he could not do this tests for my son. He said he would refer me to another pediatrician who is also an eye specialist. I asked him if he is sure my son can have the test well there. He said no, but it has a better chance. I tried to ask the doctor's name, but they said the doctor would call me for an appointment. I drove 1 hour back and forth and stayed there for 2.5 hours, but ended with nothing. My son did not cry. But they just did not have a good way to let my son corporate. I felt really disappointing with my experience in this office, and I will not recommend this doctor to anybody who is 2-3 years old.

office/nurse/assistant staff was bossy and rude ... all male doctors all female staff .. perhaps that glass ceiling is bringing about some sort of passive/aggressive expression through how the staff treats customers ... I would recommend you go elsewhere ....

Dr. Finkelstein is a fantastic doctor and has the best office staff. When you come in the front door you are greeted and all his staff is very careing. I have only had good experience's at his office. After surgeries he has always called to see how I was doing.
