List of Joseph W Russell's Reviews
Russell was very kind and helpful when seeing my son awhile back for speech concerns. We were considering switching him to be our twins pediatrician. However, he was very abrasive and rude just today when we had an on call doctor paged for our twins eye infection. He called me back just to state that he is not our pediatrician and hung up. I know we all have bad days and moods, but that was unnecessary. God bless. But we will continue our search for a pedestrian.
We have been going to Dr. Russell for both of our boys for about 4 years now and I can’t express our gratitude enough. He does not treat his patients like they are his patients, but like they are his own children. He will NEVER rush through an exam, he is always very thorough and he never makes you feel silly for asking questions. I will be devastated when he retires. 20/10 recommend.
Dr. Russell has been practicing medicine for 42 years and has failed to keep up with the times. As parents, we brought up many developmental delays with our child and he failed to act upon them. It was a nightmare even to get our child tested for the concerns we had as parents. He refused to listen to our concerns and even had the gall to add an eye roll. Our child is now significantly delayed due to the conscious lack of care and concern on the part of Dr. Russell. He robs children and families of precious time by not being a proactive Doctor and keeping up with current practices of Pediatrics. This review is so that other families and children will not waste their precious young years on a Doctor who refuses to acknowledge parental concern and does not stay current in Pediatrics. After 42 years you need to retire if you are not willing to be an advocate for your patients and their families.
Dr. Russell is a phenomenal physician. I had a great family doctor growing up and wanted the same for our daughter. He is kind, attentive, honest, and gives sound advice based on his experience and expertise. I’ve noticed a lot of doctors these days sound like they are reading from a script or manual, but Dr. Russell truly looks at the patient as an individual and listens closely to any concerns. He has a nurse Patty that goes above and beyond as well - she was so comforting to speak with on the phone. In fact all of the nurses we have met at this office were very kind. My only wish is that he had a private practice because it can be difficult to deal with Duly’s scheduling and random evening/overnight nurses when you need to quick advice- they almost always just tell you to go to the ER. Overall we are very happy with the care received.
By far the best doctor ever! We love seeing Dr. Russell & he has been great with our newborn! We feel so lucky we found him!
He is great! He cares about the patient. Listen to your concerns, give good explanations, makes sure you are part of the decisions! His staff are also great!
Outstanding and caring doctor
The day Dr. Russell retires, which I hope is not less than another 16 years is the day we leave Duly. He is the definition of a doctor. If I didn’t look like Gandalf, I’d lie about my age so I could have him as my primary. Patient, informative, & knowledgeable are understatements. A staff that matches!
Love this guy!! Super friendly and always positive!!
I just met Dr. Russell today and I couldn’t be happier. He is caring, personable, and patient. The only regret I have is not taking my kids to him a long time ago. He’s amazing.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
