As a patient of Dr Franklin for several years, I'm sorry to say that access and service has become ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. NO MATTER HOW ILL YOU ARE!!!. Doctor Franklin has told several times that the Best way to reach him was via Emal through MyChart. However, the last year Plus. NO MATTER THE URGENCY, NO MATTER HOW YOU MAKE CONTACT( EVERY MYCHART CONTACT WAS RESPONDED TO BY SONYA, the answer is call or go online to schedule an appt). Even after i had to be hospitalized because I couldn't get into see Dr. Franklin after multiple attempts over 1 weeks time ( I even went to the office and was told come back in 3 days). The Staff infection in my leg had become completely out of control and needed 9cm drains cut in my leg. Upon being released from the hospital I was told to schedule a follow-up appt. with Dr. Franklin within 7-10 days (the hospital said they were going to contact Dr. Franklin's office to be assured his office would be fully aware of the details of my infection and surgery). I reached out via MYCHART. MY TITLE WAS NEED FOLLOW-UP APPT. TO SURGERY. THE ANSWER FROM SONYA AS USUAL IS CALL TO MY AN APPT. Scheduling as usual said Dr. Franklin wasn't available, I explianed the situation, then scheduling said i could possibly get an appt with another doctor in his office in 1 month.

Dr Franklin is one of the best internists I've ever visited. I am lucky I found him when I moved to the area. He listens carefully, he actually believes his patients when they tell him their symptoms, he familiarizes himself with the patient's history, and in general, I find him to be a wonderful doctor. I never have a problem getting a timely appointment, and once there, I never feel rushed. He gets an A+ from me!

Dr. Franklin made a great first impression! He was already knowledgeable about my health history and took time to review my charts before entering the room. This allowed us to jump right into goals and future plans. He was also encouraging and courteous. I'm glad to have him as my new primary care physician.
