Dr. Coates makes herself available when I have urgent eye problems, scratches and such. Her staff is knowlegable, kind and curteous. I realize if I get a last minute appointment and she squeezes me in I may have to wait. Most importantly she makes time to see me. Dr. Coates is thorough, has an excellent bedside manner and is very kind. Her advice is often wholistic in approach. She is considering your health in general.

My Pcp recommended me to Dr. Coates for a possible detached retina It was late in the day and Dr C was out of office on her way home but made a quick u turn and told me to meet her at her office in 20 minutes She went the extra mile to help me Thankfully Turned out to be a much less serious eye condition She was very helpful and pleasant and very thorough and answered all of my questions

Dr. Coates is an incredible doctor who cares deeply for her patients. Scheduling is easy, and she is extremely flexible with timing of emergencies. The office space is warm and calming. I enjoy seeing Dr. Coates and I highly recommend her!

Dr Coates is simply terrific to deal with. She is compassionate and listens and is never in a rush. A friend is also her patient and she has come into the office on weekends and off hours for serious issues. After my exam she simply sat and talked with me for ten minutes which is rare for any doctor. Her "bedside manner" is outstanding and so rare these days. She is a real gem.

Dr. Coates is wonderful! She has a great rapport with patients, and takes time with her patients and their exams. The office is clean and welcoming, and her staff is kind and courteous. I highly recommend Dr. Coates and her practice.

On Nov 5, 2014 called her office and made an appointment with Doctor for Nov 6 at 11:15am. Noel confirmed the appointment. Arrived at office at 11:10, fill out forms and then waited to see the Doctor. At 12:00 noon, I went to person behind the desk and told her that I could not wait any longer as I had other obligations. I asked what was the delay, and she said Dr. had an emergency. I asked her why she did not call those patients who had appointments that the Doctor was running late. No explanation. I asked to be call when the Doctor was available to see me as I live locally and could be in office in 15 minutes. It is now over one week and no call. Time to see a different Doctor for my eyes as one week of suffering is enough. Give this Dr. Coates a miss.

Dr. Coates is a fantastic eye doctor! She is extremely personable and has great bedside manner. She has taken excellent care of me and my family. She listens very carefully and always make us feel welcome at her office. She has great insights and knowledge about the field. Dr. Coates is very responsive and thorough. I am aware of several occasions where she has caught something that was missed by other eye doctors. Since opening Ridgefield Ophthalmology a few years ago, Dr. Coates has developed a great reputation in the Ridgefield area and the surrounding communities.

She started out in radiology, but thankfully she ended up working on eyes. She's too sweet a person to be buried in the radiology background. Take care of your eyes and do so with Dr. Coates.
