List of Gregory Nowak Md's Reviews
Poor bedside manner. Talks over you and doesn't care what questions you have. Doesn't care about your about your overall health, just your heart.
Had a heart attack 4 years ago treated at freeport hospital. Never felt better and decided to get second opinion with doctor Nowak he found two more blockages within same artery that was supposed to have been repaired. Feeling much better. He was very understanding and would not give up on helping me feel better.
been seeing dr.nowak for over 20yrs.he is by far the best doctor ive ever seen.dr.nowak is the main reason i am still alive.i think most of the complaints are from people who cant handle the truth.
Not qualified to treat bipolar depression and should admit a suicidal patient to the hospital when they tell you they were denied obtaining a gun and are feeling like killing themselves--No hospital admissions since 2014 to 2016 mean you are not protecting your depression patients adequately
He has been my Dr. since 2009. Very happy with him.
Dr. Nowak is one of the most professional doctors I have encountered in my 20 something years of seeing mental health professionals. He is commited to his patients who have addiction issues. He is also vey careful about writing prescriptions. I have been to many doctors who are not. His demeaner can come across as abrupt, but this has very little to do with the quality of care one will receive from him.
I have seen Dr. Nowack for a long time is the best doctor and saved my life. I am certain the issues being discussed as negatives were not exactly accurate on your part not on the doctors you are all putting him down or are most likely handling things appropriately .
The worst psych i've ever had. Does not care about patience's condition at all. He is more concerned about the money that anything else. Kept telling me to take all kind of drugs a the same time. Didn't follow up how i was doing on them. I hope no else would fall in his trap of cash flow. Please be very causious of this "doctor"
He is not helpful at all. He acts like he dosnt have the time of day for you. He is more worried about you paying cash before he writes you a script then talking about your progress and what you need on a good note he will write you a script for anything you want Xanax, sleeping pills, ect I thought addiction recovery doctors where there to help you with your addiction all he is is a leagle drug dealer 200 dollers once a week to see him for 5 min I feel like I get robbed every time I see him
Never in my life have I been treated so bad by a secretary. Huffed and puffed at my questions, and told me they were very busy trying to work!! I'm sorry, I thought I was a patient, which would be part of your job!!?? Dr. doesn't seem to care about your fears. will prescribe you new meds to try, and if they don't work and/or you have a problem w/them, don't expect any further help or education as to how the prescribed meds will possibly work. Worst decision I ever made in my life. Once you're hooked on Suboxone, you have to take their abuse too. The secretary is like this at every visit too, so it's not like it was just a busy day.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
