Dr Thordason & Cedars-Sinai & the whole team where excellent. I had a very arthritic ankle everyone else wanted to fuse. Dr Thordarson said I was perfect candidate for a complete ankle replacement. It was done out-patient & within a few weeks I could walk..I have no pain & no regrets..I wouldn't go anyplace else

I waited for years to be able to get into Dr. Thordarson to deal with severely Arthritic ankles. I researched for the best surgeon on the west coast and all the information available was that he was the guy. I consulted with his partner years ago who fully scared me away from surgery. Thordarsons bed side manner and reliable and responsible care have given me the comfort to have him operate. Many doctors forget they are dealing with human beings and not just cases. This is not so with Dr. Thordarson. He is honest and trustworthy and that matters when you are putting your health in someones hands.

He is like most surgeons, and not the best at communicating, but he is a very good surgeon, and did a great job on my PTTD surgery. I also only had to wear a splint and then a cast for 4 weeks, instead of 8 weeks like my research had said. I had initially gone to see him for new orthotics (my old dr didn't take my ins, and was a lot further away). I mentioned to him that I was having pain on the inside ankle bone, and my flat foot looked "flatter". He only needed xrays to diagnose the PTTD. My knee surgeon thinks highly of him as well, which is the best recommendation you can have.

After two surgeries I now have a deformed toe. Had I known this is what what this surgeon would do I wouldn't do it much less go thru a second surgery for him to fix his first bad job. I would never go to him again had I known.

Dr.Thordarson is the best! He was willing to do a complicated foot surgery on my mother's right foot after several botched surgeries by other podiatrists and orthopedic surgeons. My Mom is 84 years old and very active, yet spent the last several years unable to walk without significant foot pain. First, Dr T resolved a painful issue on my Mom's left foot due to a screw coming loose from prior bunion surgery (which was misdiagnosed by another podiatrist who kept giving her steroid injections that didn't help).  Then he did the major surgery on her right foot to remove prior hardware and position the bones in the correct position. Miraculously, the surgery has eliminated her pain and my mom is now able to walk and be active again.  We are both so very grateful to Dr T!!

On time, pleasant, caring , Dr. Thordarson explained everything, answered all questions, was not in a rush.

He is thorough, straight forward with his techniques and recovery. He is the reason I can walk again!!

I really appreciate Dr Thordarson . He was very patient with me and my many questions in deciding between ankle replacement and ankle fusion. I chose ankle replacement and I just had my first post-op appointment yesterday and everything is going very well and as he predicted. I’ve been in his office four times and the appointments started on schedule and all of his staff treated me with kindness, respect, patience and attentiveness.

Consistently listens and answers my questions. Sessions are efficient and staff is professional. Ankle surgery is complex and he’s the best.

Everyone worked together. Team was efficient yet caring. You didn't feel like they couldn't be bothered like some other doctors offices. They performed two surgeries and both turned out better than expected.
