I brought my Mom for left side hip and knee pain that has been with her post double hip fractures and treatments from 2 different MDs.Dr Alvi ordered more x-rays than anyone before. When he came to the room it was evident he had reviewed her background and the just taken images he had printed out for us and was able specifically point out, in layman's terms, what was going on in each joint that was causing the pain. We got more answers and alternative plans of action in the 15 minutes we were with him, than in the year and a half, post hip surgeries. We didn't feel rushed and he did an excellent, excellent job making sure we understood what was normal, what was abnormal, and the various levels of treatment choices for her.Overall, an excellent visit with what seems to be an excellent and caring doctor.

Update: Dr. Alvi replaced my right hip 14 months after he replaced my left. The picture below was taken just 5 hours after Surgury. This man has a gift. He knows what he’s doing and does it well! He’s very patient, explained every option, listened to my concerns, out a plan together that works for both of us. I have enough confidence in him to let him replace my hip in about 10 days!

I had a hip replacement 2 weeks ago, and have had astounding results already in this short amount of time. Dr. Alvi and his entire team are extremely professional, friendly and supportive. I highly recommend him and the support staff at Barrington Orthopedics.

I wanted to thank Dr. Alvi. When I scheduled my knee replacement for May 11, I told him I needed to be able to dance and hike for my daughter’s wedding in October. I wanted to let him know I completed a 5 mile hike which was up in the mountains in Montana. I was so excited the whole time, even though it was really hard ha ha, but just the fact that I could do this was amazing! Reaching the end of the climb we were rewarded with a stunning view! Just as he promised, I was able to dance and have a wonderful time at our daughters wedding! Thank you so much! Truly an amazing doctor!
