The Dr Paul is good but the office staff is so bad specially a girl name Michelle she is very rude and when I told her is is rude she hang up the phone on me then I called back and she would not pick up the phone so I called from a different phone and right away she answered the phone because of she didn't know it was me again
I suppose if I had to pick one word in reference to/pertaining to the skill level, the kindness, bedside manner so to speak, the ability to place into layman's terms the multi-syllabic words and procedures and protocol.. That word would be Godsend.. Dr. Paul Papierski was exactly That... I had a very bad experience with a doctor, a plastic surgeon, the same as Dr. Papierski but Not the same Quality of man. Dr. Papierski made everything simply seamless and without any effort whatsoever...Definitely greatly welcomed compared to the obstacles I had already been challenged with... Still healing and under his care.. I've had no problems unfortunately I do not anticipate having any at all... Not to mention, I only had pain for a day and a half and since then I've had no pain whatsoever. The surgery was to fix a boutonniere on my index finger.. Already looks great.. I would definitely suggest his service and his practice to any friend or family member.. Honestly a great doctor.. As is his assistant and staff also proficient and kind.
The office staff is useless. Two weeks wasted trying to schedule appointment for my mom. Now I believe other reviews.
Eventhough he was running late I can't give him less than 5 stars! By his initial greeting I could tell he actually looked at my paperwork before entering. During our conversation it became clear to me that his ego doesn't enter into his performance, and I am completely at ease scheduling my surgery with him going forward.
O total thief and scam artists his stuff scheduled a surgery for me with him after he check my HMO ins plan he immediately denied my surgery with the excuse of being not safe wile he told me in a mean time he was going to give to another patient with a more difficult surgery but a ppo plan preferred by him my arm left disabled because of him
left my arm untreated and half disabled due to my HMO plan and his excuse was just he couldn’t do it but he also told me that he have done more difficult surgeries then mine
Dr Papierski was friendly and knowledgable at my initial appointment. He took time to answer all my questions. His staff was helpful, accommadating, and friendly For the surgery was a breeze without conplications. I definitly recommend him!
He shows that he cares for you. He treats you as a human been not as a case.
The doctor was great at the time of the surgery. Which, most can agree, is the most important time to be great. The follow up is awful. The receptionist is either too busy or hates her job. It’s apparent from her tone and her rushed demeanor every time you ask a question. Ewa, the nurse, is amazing. She is actually the only reason I gave up the extra star to bring it to four. But everything else is awful. I have been trying to get a refill on much needed pain medication and from talking to the doctor before surgery, this would not be a concern. 4 days later I keep getting told they haven’t heard back from my doctor. This is wildly concerning that a doctor who is clearly on call for emergencies, hasn’t checked his email in this many days.Shame on the doctor for not responding properly to his patients in pain and shame on the office for lacking the diligence to get it done. I did get a call today telling me I could have another doctor prescribe me the medicine but I would have to come in (again, I was just there yesterday), to see this doctor. I’m fresh out of surgery with a pain management plan. The plan with my doctor was for me to come in after one week and address the wound and refill the medication as needed, at that time. I came in after not getting a call back. Still didn’t get the support. Waited now just to be told to come pay for another visit just to get the same meds I was issued upon discharged.Thank goodness for doctors who are engaged in patient care as I am able to move my business elsewhere.
This isn't a practical medical center unless you have a lot of money at your disposal to spend on medical bills. I had an incident about two months ago involving my lawnmower. After my ER visit, I was recommended here by St. Alexius Medical Center (I believe they get some sort of kickback for that). I've had at least 6 visits with doctor Papierski including a nailbed surgery. At least 2 of my 6+ visits were completely unnecessary and included xrays just to tell me nothing's changed. I personall
I had the oddest and least helpful doctor visit of my life. He kept asking me if I thought I was going to die from my arm pain I guess. Saying I was too young to die. He barely looked at my arms and wrists, continuing to make bizzare comments. Said there's nothing that can be done. The nurse even looked really uncomfortable around him. Then they charged a ridiculous amount for educational materials I never received.
Dr. Papierski is an excellent hand surgeon. He performed surgery on my right hand to straighten my little finger and ring finger. I now have complete mobility of both fingers. He and his staff were always pleasant and caring, making sure that I understood each phase of the procedure.
Dr. Papierski was the third hand specialist I have seen, after the others said I should "live with" my injury. (I have HMO, and was going through accepted doctors with the others. Dr. P happens to also be in my network.) He was able to do surgery, and I am very pleased with the results, not even two weeks out! I was impressed by how calm and unruffled he is. Great bedside manner, and very capable.
Feb 11, 2017 I went to see Dr. Papierski for an unsuccessful severed tendon repaired at a different practice . I was very pleased not only with the surgical outcome but how I was taken care of throughout the process. Dr. Papierski and his staff are awesome including the phenomenal onsite physical therapy team. It is comforting to know I am in good hands with very knowledgeable and compassionate professionals. After two unrelated procedures this practice continues to exceed my expectations.
Great job with my surgery.
I try to make my appointments first of the day, when the Dr. is still on time. Yet, on 2 /3 visits, he was extremely late (90 minutes, and 30 minutes), and then I felt like he was rushing thru my visit. I had to remind him of my symptoms and things I"d tried, like he didn't even read my file before coming in. If I hadn't asked a ton of questions, I'm not sure he would've explained anything. He has this habit of fake smiling at the end of every sentence, which makes him seem very disingenuous.
He was thorough and knowledgeable took his time and explain different options for you and what to expect. You do not feel rushed or pushed into anything. He explains the anatomy of problem and the physiology of why you were having these issues. Then he looks at you utilizing a holistic medical approach. You come out feeling that he is in your corner and will do everything in his power to make you well
I was referred to Dr. Papierski because of my debilitating shoulder pain. They x-rayed my shoulder in their office, and then Dr. P examined my shoulder. He thought it was probably rotator cuff impingement and recommended physical therapy. I used their therapists and had 8 sessions of physical therapy. The pain is almost completely gone and I now have normal shoulder mobility. I am very happy with this outcome.
I was given Dr. Papierski's name to follow-up with after a finger fracture. I was told he was located less than 10 minutes from my home. When I called to make an appointment, I was told he was only at the location closest to me one day per week and that I would have to wait 2 weeks to see him if I chose that location. So I opted for a location about 35 minutes from my home (Schaumburg area) and had to wait 3 days from the day I called to make the appointment. I got there 15 minutes early, filled out the required paperwork and then waited (with my 7 year old daughter) for almost 3 HOURS to see the doctor. When I was finally seen, the doctor did not have access to my xrays from the hospital and he simply splinted and taped up my broken finger, and did an xray with the splint on to see if it was stable. My finger was broken nearly in half through the top joint, and I also had 2 bone chips. Dr. Papierski recommended immediate physical therapy and that I keep the flimsy splint on for 6+ weeks. I never followed up with this doctor. I am on medicaid, and feel I was not properly treated due to that. I had decided to just leave the finger and let it heal on its own. I subsequently slammed it in a door and ended up back in the ER. I went to a different hospital out of fear that I would be referred back to Dr. Papierski. I was referred to another doctor who saw me the same day I called to make my initial appointment. He reviewed my hospital xrays which he had on file and suggested surgery. He offered to splint or cast it but told me that due to the severity of the injury, it would probably NOT heal without surgery. I opted for surgery and had it the very next morning. I am now one day post-op and am very pleased with the other doctor I saw (so far). This doctor and his staff have too many patients and his staff seems very unknowledgable. I would NOT recommend him to ANYONE no matter how minor the injury.
Dr. Papierski took the time to explain everything before my surgery, and answered all my questions. He is very compassionate and caring. I would recommend anyone suffering from carpel tunnel syndrome to see Dr. Papierski, he is an excellent doctor..
