PA Courtney mickelson ordered a ct scan for a hernia I had never complained about during a routine Pap smear. She wanted to make sure insurance would pay called a week later set up scan. Results negative had no symptoms of hernia. Scan came back negative and now I’m stuck with 6k bill. Called office over and over again. No one would talk to me. Called again and Debbie at front desk yelled and said I have to pay bill. She isn’t a doctor and ordered a unnecessary test not telling me I have to pay 6k. My credit is ruined they don’t care to help me. No cooperation or acknowledge that they made a mistake and should have made sure my insurance would pay. I called my insurance and they told me they told Debbie that I was not covered for this test. Horrible situation !!! Treated like dirt by the office. Horrible experience will never go back. I’m stuck with this bill I cannot afford to pay Please don’t visit this medical group

Bottom line Courtney Mickelson is only a assistant and ordering test she isn't qualified to do.  And her team is not checking with insurance to see if tests are covered. If they are they and find out it's not covered they will send you tests anyways and you will be responsible for those bills.  Beware of medical practices like this.

Dr. Behnke has been my primary care physician for many years and has always provided excellent professional service.

This doctor was one of the team that released me from Alexian Brothers hospital knowing I had a large blood clot and my leg was over two times its norma size and purple in color. In addition, I told each of the doctors, every day without fail, that one of my surgery incisions was infected. I begged for them to do a culture of the drainage but none of them would order one so I could be places on appropriate antibiotics. Two hours after I was discharged I was admitted to another hospital in critical Condition because the blood clot was all the way down my thigh and my abdomen was infected.

I wish I had met Dr. Behnke years ago! He made me feel at ease and was extremely patient with me. He was methodical and really listened to my concerns. I didn’t feel rushed and I left feeling that my issues were properly addressed. I will recommend 10 out of 10 times!!

Been our family dr for many years. Has been found to be very passive and not proactive. Mis diagnosed twice. Causing heart attack in one instance. Inpatient situation is horrible. Doesn't even follow your case or coordinate the care. Says not his job. But of course charges for every visit. When I need to make an appt, i will see the physician assistant instead. Will be changing asap. Do like staff. They are awesome.

I just started as a new patient and I have to leave a very positive review. I really appreciate Dr Behnke's honest and light attitude so I feel comfortable to have him as our family Doc. The staff is awesome and makes me feel well informed and appreciated. And I love the convenience of having a lab right there. Most of the places we have been looking into makes you feel like a number but this office really cares about your health & well being.
