List of John L. Visconti's Reviews
Dr Visconti was my wife's Oncologist and we could not have asked for a better person to treat her. He was amazing and did a great job for us.
Dr Visconti is my hematologist. I couldn’t recommend a finer dr than him-he is professional, courteous, a great listener, and Is very skilled at explaining complex medical issues in terms that I can understand. I have never felt rushed when he’s in the exam room with me, and he never comes across as arrogant or condescending, which is a blessing these days. As for his business practices, his staff was friendly and accommodating, and I’ve never been made to wait a ridiculous amount of time to get into the exam room, nor while in the exam room waiting for the dr. Top notch on every level, and I would definitely refer my family and friends to Dr Visconti if his specialties were what they needed. He is the kind of dr one would expect when you hear the name Washington University in St. Louis.
He's a great doctor.
Great doctor understood my frustration at the first appointment, great staff too.
I meet drVisconti while admitted in the hospital. I started crying when I seen the card it said oncology. So it scares u at first. So I ask the nurse n she said he would be right back to see me. When he came in he was so nice n ask me how I was doing. Then he told me what was going. I didn't understand it so he explained everything. I was so scared. Then he told me about the treatments of this. I've been doing treatments for almost 2 years. I have been doing pretty good. He talk to me every third month let's me no how treatments are going n takes time to listen. He is a great Dr n I would recommend him to everyone I'm not scared any more. He is awesome
Doctor is AMAZING with a wonderful demeanor & ability to explain issues clearly. I visited him in the Edwardsville office where they are nice. However, dealing with any office personnel from Swansea is less than desirable. They lack patience and will gladly push you to a voicemail instead of trying to get your questions answered the first time. Took me several calls and discussions to get appointments correctly set & bill payments applied. Dr Visconti 5 stars Swansea office 2 stars
I moved from the Chicago area to the St Louis metro area so transferred care to Dr. Visconti from another oncologist. Always a bit unnerving but I was happily surpised to find I much preferred him and wished I had had him for my care throughout my treatment. He listened, treated me with respect and has consitently orovided good care and treatment advice. I feel lucky to have found him.
Dr Visconti is awesome. Very caring and knowledgeable. I love the nurses and front desk staff as well. Especially like the lab employees. Being a cancer patient means getting stuck a lot. Lab staff super nice and skilled.
Doctor is very knowledgeable and and willing to thoroughly explain condition and options for treatment. Listens to patients and willing to alter treatment plan according to patient needs or wishes. Staff is ok but think they have been told not to act too friendly with patients.
I like Dr. Visconti very much. He seems very knowledgeable.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
