I highly recommend Michelll Bates. She is thorough, pleasant and realistic. She does an excellent job explaining things and is conscientious about follow-ups.
Very good in-person experience. But--your online portal and the site used to pre-register for my visit is horrible. Lots of lingo and acronyms, not clear when to "save" or :go back." Difficult to edit profile and medicaton list You need to make this part of your practice more use-friendly.
I saw Michelle Bate, Nurse Practitioner, for the first time. Michelle and her team are very professional. Michelle explains everything that she is doing so you can understand. She will take the time and answer any questions and will give you suggestions for your health care. Office is very clean. I highly recommend Michelle and the Illinois Dermatology to anyone looking for a dermatologist.
Appointment with Dr. Logas was on time, everyone was professional, friendly and explained everything in detail. Very positive experience!
I was most impressed and appreciative of the manner which I experienced with my initial med. visit with Dr. Christopher Logas. I arrived early at the med. office and was TAKEN EARLY! The doctor could not have been more friendly, personable, professional, and clear in his thorough examination and easy-to-understand description of all he was doing and that which needed further explanation. It was overall a very positive and uplifting experience. I would recommend Dr. Logas to anyone and everyone seeking a competent, professional, confidence-inspiring dermatologist.
I have been going to the Skokie office for 10+ years. Yesterday my appt was with Michelle Bate for the first time. She gave me a thorough exam and answered all my questions. I would recommend her.
My whole visit there was a farce! I was sitting in the exam chair in my gown, preparing to be examined. The Dr. was a woman...Michelle something or other. She sat in a chair a few feet away from me the whole time. Didn't come over to me to examine me at all. She told me to get some expensive skin soothing stuff, to pick up an Rx she was also calling in for me, and to get bloodwork done. She said if I don't heard back about the blood results in a week, it means they were lost in the system!!!!! Never have I ever seen a doctor who seemed more disinterested in her job and patient care!!! (This was the office at 9711 Skokie Blvd. In Skokie. Suffice to say, I won't be going back there again!!
I have been seeing dermatologists at the Illinois Dermatology Institute for over 20 years. I have always been happy with their skill and professionalism. It’s easy to set up appointments and their office staff have always been helpful and friendly.
The office staff is incompetent. My son needed a refill of a simple topical acne medication. He hadn't been seen in a long time. Unfortunately, he is going back to school out of state. I asked if he could do a telehealth visit. No. So, I guess he's finding a new dermatologist. The upsetting thing is, I requested the refill from the pharmacy one week ago (as per the instructions on their voicemail). When I asked why no one had notified me about scheduling an appointment they said their nurse or whoever receives the request didn't respond to the pharmacy's request because he hadn't been seen. I was trying to explain that there is a break down in communications on their end that they need to fix. If an appointment is needed, it is their responsibility to communicate that to the patient. The receptionist just kept repeating that my son hadn't been seen since 2021, which I understand. That's not the point. As a patient, we shouldn't have to chase them down to find out why their office isn't responding to the pharmacy's request for a refill. That's ghosting and it's terrible customer service.
Lena and the staff are great they are thorough and answer my many questions they also have useful suggestions

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
