Jonas Benson's Online Review Report Card

2020, Easter Sunday at CDH/Northwestern, Dr. Jonas Benson saved my husband's life. For months before that, another urology team missed the fact that my husband had cancer. Dr. Robert Challenger, had taken a tissue sample and identified the cancer just days before. There had been numerous episodes of unexplained bleeding which escalated to a fourth serious emergency on Easter when Dr. Benson discovered that my husband had a ruptured bladder. After each doctor had see him only once in two weeks time, these two doctors gave my husband a proper investigative exam - taking a tissue sample and sending it to a pathologist where the cancer was diagnosed; and a plan for treatment. They recognized the urgency of unidentified problems my husband was having because of his rare case and they accomplished a turn around in his difficult case so that my husband could begin treatment and God-willing, recovery. We are forever grateful to these two competent and compassionate doctors who are partners.

There is nowhere to contact other than phone and phone has got me nowhere. I had consult with Dr Benson on April 15 and after 2 weeks I finally received an order for Comprehensive Semen Analysis by post . I was told to go to Delnor (they do not offer this service). I was then told by you to go to CDH and having gone there and onsite provided specimen and been admitted into Outpatients , I was then told CDH does not offer this either. I now have contacted NWestern Fertility and apparently URopartners are out of there network so that is not open to me either. It is incredible to believe that Uropartners cannot direct a Patient to a clinic to follow their own doctors orders. Looks incompetent

Dr Benson is a very good doctor. I left my first urologist due to his inability to engage my somewhat unique condition and his disinterest in problem solving my situation with me. What a relief to find Dr Benson. He went over and above-truly. The surgery that need be performed was done with excellence. Five months later, I am doing very well. Highly recommended.

I had a Penile implant done had complications not happy with final outcome loss in size and doesn’t feel natural dr Benson was great wish I were happy with outcome

Dr. Benson took me through a Renal Cancer diagnosis when I was only 34 years old. The undetected malignancy began around the age of 27. I can't state enough how knowledgeable and confident he was in assessing the problem and expressing the best paths to solve it. He was clear, direct and honest. Which is exactly what you want (even when you don't) when dealing with scenarios like this. I would recommend my family to Dr. Benson, and I would trust him treating them. - Tiffany K. Berry

8AM Appt I arrive at 7:45 I am asked to get undressed and put on a gown. I wait 75 minutes shivering in a cold room before I go to procedure room where i am told to undo my gown and expose my naked butt one the side of the table. I wait like this for 15 more minutes. Benson comes in I say how are you and he responds, "MUCH BETTER THAN YOU"! I think to myself, I have waited 90 minutes cold, naked and exposed TO SEE IF I HAVE CANCER, yes you are better than me. Not much care for patients here!

8AM appt for cancer biopsy I am told to undress from the waist down, put on a hospital gown. I wait naked in a freezing cold office until 9:15 , I told to get on the operating table with my exposed butt over facing the staff. 15 minutes later Benson arrives I ask how he doing He responds “A lot better than you”. I think to myself you should be you didnt wait naked freezing with your butt exposed to staff HOPING YOU DONT HAVE CANCER! A insult later we finished. Benson didnt care about me.

I've been a patient of Uro Partners for a decade, on and off. In the past, I'd always seen Dr. Trockman who was phenomenal. With my latest "concern" I was scheduled to see Dr. Benson which I wasn't originally thrilled with since I had so much trust in Dr. Trockman. It's likely all of the partners are great because Dr. Benson was just incredible. Everything about this guy screams WORLD CLASS DOCTOR. His best attribute is likely how he communicates. THANK YOU DR. BENSON

Was very understanding and took the time to answer all my questions and concerns.

Made time out of his surgery schedule to see my husband who was in the hospital at the time and had plumbing problems.
