List of Laurence A. Levine's Reviews
Just got robbed $3K for a "non-refundable" downpayment I had made. Website clearly states you need a "competent adult" to take you home or to your hotel after the particular procedure I had paid for. Of all the reps I spoke to, no one mentioned I would need someone to watch over me until the anesthesiologist asked me if I had someone to watch over me. Being that the procedure was very personal and the location 5 hours from where I live, I did not have the time or resources to meet this appointment. Called to cancel it and get my money back but the lady decided to argue with me about ride-share information in the packet they sent me AFTER I paid in full. Sorry, but your site says one thing and your packet says a completely different thing with an additional cost tied to it. That's called false advertisement. Absolutely ridiculous. Keep an attorney handy if you decide to do business with this place. UPDATE - Make that being robbed of $5400. I have been in constant contact throughout my refund process with thia place and haven't received my full refund. They told me that "Doctors Fees" were taken out. I didn't see a Doctor at all because I cancelled my appointment due to their inability to explain and advertise their services accurately. Giving the refund process one more week then I'm lawyering up.
Mistake during his experimental technique on me messed me up for the rest of my life. Other doctors said his technique should not have been performed on me given my issue. He even said he wouldn’t count what happened as an issue with his technique, which was invasive. I noticed other negative reviews- google is removing them. This man is getting reviews pulled down.
Absolutely fantastic doctor and not a single regret going to him. I was referred to Dr Levine since my situation was a bit more complicated. He was very clear on the plan and made sure I understand everything. He was very personable which was nice, i always love to be able to have a connection with my doctors. I worked a lot with his PA Gina and she was always super supportive and communicative with me during the recovery stages. I always felt like i was in such excellent care and secure. I’ve never had so many other doctors ask me about him when.i spoke to them about the surgery, he’s like a celebrity in the doctor world. But seriously, check his reviews out on yelp and healthgrades and you’ll see he has consistent and great reviews. Absolute top tier kind of doctor. It can be a bit of a wait to get in to see him as a new patient but totally worth it, don’t question that and make the appt.
Dr Levine is the closest thing to a miracle worker we have. He did a fantastic job. Gina is PA is absolutely fantastic as well. I worked with 2 other urologists and they both felt uncomfortable with the procedure and one of them referred me over to Dr Levine. He had warned me that Dr Levine was very busy and may not be able to help me but wanted me to get him as a 2nd (or in this case 3rd opinion). Dr Levine was a no nonsense doctor but also made me feel very comfortable and was very personable so i was immediately confident in anything he recommended. The procedure was called: release of a buried phallus and a year later, I’m quite literally a new man. Him and his staff were very patient with me during my hospital stay as well as all the follow-up appointments. My other doctors were shocked by the outcome and I’m sure is part of the reason he is held in such high regards. All of my docs seemed to have known him by reputation since my surgery. Absolutely top notch doctor.
Great experience with Dr Levine for Hydrocele Aspiration and Sclerotherapy. One treatment and two months later completely resolved without surgery. Not sure why this treatment is not the "go-to" for hydroceles given the complications of surgery. Dr Levine is without-doubt a leader in this treatment. Time will tell if this recurs, but so far, I am 100% satisfied.
Dr. Levine gave me my life back. I'm forever thankful he did my surgery. He's the best doctor I ever had. Also his office is great full of experts and kind caring faculty such Gina Hugo. I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Levine and his staff experts. I will be forever grateful and thankful 🙏 God bless them.
Top notch! Gifted doctor. Highly recommend.
Dr Levine is an extremely competent and caring doctor. My father had some surgical complications occur with his previous urologist at Rush and we were at a loss. Dr Levine was extremely honest with my dad's condition and what surgical procedures were best to address his condition.
I had the absolute worst experience at this office. I was referred here by my primary care doctor for a simple mole removal. Upon my arrival at my scheduled appointment time at 4:00, they had issues with my referral and insurance. I, not they, spent (no lie) 45 minutes on the phone between my doctors office and the insurance company trying to square things away. They kept saying they needed a new referral faxed over because they one they received didn't have the exact location of my mile and they needed all the information to bill my insurance properly. Ok, that's fine.. I understood that. I work in healthcare and understand procedures. They office manager kept repeating that they close at 5:00 and that they wouldn't stay open later. Their biggest concern was getting my insurance billed and not being stuck with a $150 office visit (they repeated this to me multiple times while I was there.) The doctor himself kept coming to the front desk reminding the manager that they closed at 5 and that they needed a referral with specific information because if it didn't have it, he'd have to foot the $150 visit. I was at the point where I was about to reschedule my appointment out of frustration when my doctors office finally sent over a new referral, which looked the same as the other one. It is now 4:55, and the receptionist tells me to head back to the room. Dr Levine came in, asked what medication I was taking, took my temperature and looked me straight in the eye and said he couldn't do anything for my issue because they couldn't verify the referral last minute or my insurance and that he, again, didn't want to get stuck with a $150 office visit if he wasn't able to bill my insurance. I've never had a doctor discuss billing with me during an appointment. He never addressed my dermatological issue nor did he offer to rescheduled since it was now 5:00. Closing time! I got rushed out the door with no answers to my issue and on top of it, a week later I get a bill in the mail for a $150 office visit. A five minute rushed visit where I wasn't even helped or looked at. I called the office and was told very rudely that since I went back and saw the doctor, they charged the visit. I refused to post because of obvious reasons and it's been a constant battle since. Please visit a different dermatologist if you can. This practice only cares how they're gonna get paid, and not about helping the patient. I'm still disputing this with my insurance, and it's quite frustrating.
In 2018, at 53, I was diagnosed with Peyronie's disease. As a result, I had a 60 degree curve, which meant sex was nearly impossible. Depression set in. I tried a gimmicky treatment called low intensity shock wave therapy, but that did nothing but cost $300 a session. Finally, I decided to research surgical treatments and began reading technical papers regarding surgery. This is where I came across Dr. Levine as he had published tons of papers on surgical treatment. Thankfully he was in-network. In November 2020, I underwent plaque excision and grafting. I'm happy to report Dr. Levine and his incredibly competent and caring team corrected the curve. I continue to use post-surgical traction to re-establish length, but it is as straight as it was pre-Peyronie's, and functions great. To say Dr. Levine gave me my life back is an understatement. Peyronie's isn't just a physical affliction, it's pure hell on your psyche. Don't suffer in silence. Call Dr. Levine.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
