I went in on Wednesday morning with what I thought was a gout flare up. After examining me Dr. Nelson told me it wasn't gout and that we needed to do X-Rays on my foot looking for a fracture. I told him I would know if I had hurt my foot, he insisted so I allowed them to x-ray my foot. His assistant called the next day to inform me that I do in fact have gout and told me the doc wants me to stop eating so much red meat. I told her I eat red meat 10 times a year. She just blew me off and said I could call with any further questions. I found out today (Friday) that there is a medicine to treat gout flare ups that Dr. Nelson never even mentioned. I had to call my regular doctor to have him fill the script for me. Dr. Nelson failed me here and I am in a lot of pain because of his mess up.
