List of Narendra Narepalem's Reviews
Not compassionate
Office nor doctor are compassionate
I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Narepalem and his entire staff. Dr. Narelpalem is highly skilled, knowledgeable, and most importantly compassionate. He takes the time to really listen and understand his patients, and applies that listening in a very professional and highly skilled way. His office from front desk, call answering and scheduling are excellent and better than what I have experienced in other clinical settings. I am getting treatments form Resha Patel. She is highly professional, caring, and “pain free”. She is always present, on time, friendly, and caring. She follows up with her patients post treatment. I have also received treatments from Jankey Patel. She is also wonderful and very caring. Bottom line is I would recommend Dr. Narepalem and his staff to any of my family for urological care.
My father first saw Dr Narepalem at Lutheran General while he was in ICU. My father had complications with his prostate and they called in Dr. Narepalem to take over his care along with another of his colleagues. When my father got discharged he was advice to see Dr Narepalem so continue treatment. I would drive my to see him at Norwest Suburban Urology. At one of the visit Dr Narepalem kept pressuring my father to have an operation done on his prostate but my dad was nervous because he had blood clots at the time so he would refuse. At one appointment and the last we were in the room wait on Dr Narepalem. He comes in and he is very short and cold. He asked my dad are you going to get operated and my dad replied. Dr Narepalem stands up opens the door and tells us get out go find another doctor because I refuse to be your doctor. I Immediately complained to the office manager of how we were treated by Dr Narepalem and she proceeds to tell us to not complain about him because he is good and to be honest nothing was going to be done about his actions. I can’t believe that a doctor would treat someone in such a manner with no regards to the patients feeling or his health to just kick someone out of the room the way he did. If anyone plans on see this doctor be prepared for the attitude and disregard he has for patients. I’m surprised Lutheran General and West Suburban Urology employees such Doctors.
I've been a patient of Dr. Narepalem for years. He is knowledgeable, personable and listens to what you have to say. I never feel rushed or unclear about what is happening.
Dr. Narepalem misdiagnosed the extreme pain I was experiencing resulting in me having to quickly find another doctor to assist me. He prescribed ineffective medication for my condition and provided very little follow up. My condition was corroborated by two other physicians.
I went to him before reading the reviews on this site, the negative reviews are spot on. Best to avoid, plenty of other urologists around.
I made an appointment for my father who was hospitalized two weeks prior with dr. Narepalem. This doctor was referred to us from the hospital and all his realise paper stated to see dr. Narepalem 1-2 weeks after my father's discharge. At the time when I was making an appointment they asked for his insurance information and told me that they would need to contact the hospital for more information. They said that they would call back, they never did. So, I called few hours later and they said that there was a problem with their system. This time they made an appointment for me and apologized for an inconvenience. A week later I took my dad to his scheduled appointment and this time the woman in front desk asked for his insurance and told me that they do not accept this type of insurance. I asked her why? She said that they just dont. I than asked her if they knew what kind of insurance my father had than why did they schedule an appointment for him? She said that they made a mistake. We had to turn around and go back home. It was extremely inconvenient for us because my father is paralyzed on one half of his body due to a stoke he had 17 years ago. Plus he has a catheter and a urine bag attach to him at all times.
Dr. Narapalem is an outstanding surgeon who has vast experience and is well regarded by his peers. My surgery had the very good results I had expected. He was generous with his time and very open to all questions. Our conversations were pleasant, and he included anecdotes which put me at ease about the procedure and the recovery process. Excellent doctor and a likeable man. I'd recommend him in a heartbeat. My only criticism: pre and post op printed material did not provide enough detail about what to expect during recovery.
Took his time. Super personable. Not patronizing. Just a good guy. I really like him.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
