I finally got through after calling and calling and calling again. Was told that they couldn't send the prescription over until they spoke to the Doctor? Well, why send me to the pharmacy to pick up something when it was never called in? Called back and finally got to the practice manager..Lori. While she listened, she too was frustrated with staffing issues (I get it...we're all short staffed...every business in America) and that they are working 80 hour work weeks. I was beyond shocked - no empathy whatsoever for a patients physical, emotional or mental well being during this cancer journey or chemo treatment? I'm sorry Dr. Mutchnik. Leadership starts at the top....I hope you understand this is no way to treat a patient or run a practice. And, not to say that I have all the answers. I spent almost 30 years in the healthcare field, working with medical practices and Your bedside manner leaves a bit to be desired as well. We're more than just a number...don't treat me like
I think he walks on water. Something as horrible as stones and he makes you feel at ease and safe. I recommend him to everyone. Thank you for being you
Poor diagnosis, his main target to get more patients for more $$$,does not spend enough time with patient, look for someone else better than this guy
Dr. Mutchnik performed GreenLight Laser prostate surgery. The process, and the recovery, have gone as described by Dr. Mutchnik; nothing unexepected. He provides a great sense of confidence in the procedure and the expected outcomes.
I been with this doctor for 5 years for my enlarge prostate and every 6 month he check the Dre and Psa test and always the same answer.. your prostate is soft and everything look ok...till last December where the psa jumped to about 10 and the mri and biopsy showed I have advanced prostate cancer which spread out of the prostate gland, although the prostate cancer grow very slow to get to this point and I was following my enlarge prostate all these years every 6 months but he could not diagnose the problem???and now I am with oncologist treating my big problem because of careless diagnosing as some paitients mention that his main concern is more paitients with less time of care. As he changed my life , I do not recommended him to anyone.
very poorly.organzied check in.they only allow 4 people in the suite without checking and and nobody comes out to tell u there's seats available when people go in to see the doctor. we had an appointment at 930am and its 1030 now and haven't seen a doctor. And the people at the desk are very unprofessional. you've been warned.
Dr. Steven Mutchnik recently, Dec. 2020, performed Greenlight Laser PVP on my prostate. Leading up to this, I had to be catheterized as the prostate swelled - due to cleansing for a colonoscopy? This said, Dr. Mutchnik and his staff at both Highland Park and Skokie locations were outstanding and took appointments when needed, trying to see if the catheter would help with the prostate reopening for urination. I cannot say enough about how accommodating Dr. Mutchnik and his staff were throughout this brief chapter in my life. BTW, the greenlight laser PVP was painless and recovery was within a week. While there are many options, laser was the best for me. Dr. Mutchnik explained the options very concisely.
double, triple books appointments. every single appointment i have been to he has been ATLEAST 1 hour late for his appointment as a result of his over booking. (he obviously wants to maximize profits, at the cost of sub-standard care). His bedside manner is absolutely awful, this man treats you like a number.. not a human being. He often will rush in and out of the appointment room without even giving you a chance to ask him questions or finish talking. This man does not care about his patients well being whatsoever, and should be reprimanded for his negligence in caring for his patients. Lastly.... his office staff are extremely rude and dealing with them on the phone is not pleasant AT ALL. Avoid using this man as a "doctor" at ALL costs, someone who is so cavalier and negligent he should lose his ability to practice medicine.
I was very impressed with Dr Steven Mutchnik and his amazing caring staff. He really took the time to go over my medical concerns and explain everything to me regarding surgery and the process. He called me to follow up ( highly impressed) and his nurses were always available to chat on that Phone. Thank you for caring about your patients and I definitely recommend setting a appointment to see him if necessary. Sam R.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
